Do the Stooges really want last year's season ticket holders to renew? Do they want to build the fan base?

They need to sell the benefits to the target audience!  They should immediately set about engendering an emotional journey that would persuade renewal before the Early Bird cut off and  a new tranche of season ticket purchasers and supporters for the future.

(For the purpose of this post only and not forgetting the ineptitude of management over the last few seasons) I think that the recent run of results and the potential (albeit doubtful) for an exciting end to the season would give any sensible business the impetus and opportunity to take things by the scruff of the neck and go all out to promote the final very winnable home game to the masses in a cavalcade of good vibe social media output and positive new contract or extensions to the vital players in the few days now before Saturday.

This Saturday provides an opportunity similar to the spurned Oxford full house for them to show that they really appreciate and want us.

‘Emotional journey’. Think you’ll find the AI chat bot they engaged for the ST campaign already has they covered…

‘In a special season which will mark our landmark 150th anniversary, we invite you to join us in creating unforgettable memories together.

This year, we celebrate our past and embrace our future.

From our humble beginnings to becoming three-time Champions of England, Blackburn Rovers' journey has been defined by passion, pride and unwavering perseverance.’

I guess the Gestede interview, probably put a few more off buying a season ticket. Can there have been a bigger own goal, since Shane Duffy was at the club?

I know the question about the numbers sold, was asked at the fans forum and from a post on here, the answer to that question, will be made public in the minutes, due to be published this week.

Assuming those figures are as embarrassing, as already stated and not much improvement is made, before the early bird discount, at the end of next week, someone could have a lot of explaining to do.

Now that we know the club have no intention, of investing, to push for a return to the top flight, maybe another announcement, like the one made prior to the 23/24 season will be made, stating once again, that avoiding relegation, is the seasons ambition. How truly dire this situation, especially given the 150th anniversary of the forming of the club, is looming large.

What still puzzles me and many others. Is  after 15 years of gross mismanagement and basically no interest in the club.

Why are the Venkys still the owners???

Sell the club and cut your ' so called losses' ??

That is the question, that really needs answering.

I have always thought, that there is something buried deep that would cause huge issues if it came out and therefore, the owners and the people involved in the takeover, did not want any deep dive or scrutiny. It is the only thing that makes sense and I have spent hours trying to think of another reason, but never can.

It must be something on those lines, cos nothing  else makes any sense at all.

Should be something whenever the FF minutes go live.

Can't imagine many at all have been sold.

Couple of thousand at best?

I believe the minutes are due out this week and the answer was given to numbers sold, in that meeting.

I think 1,000 at best at that point, but maybe some have been sold since and before Gestede out his size 9 in.

If it was a good number, I expect the club would have shouted from the rooftops about it by now.

Of course, as they did last summer after just a week saying ‘best first week sales on record’… we sold a mighty 9,000 in the end (4k adults).

Obviously burnt all the pre-regime era records.

It was, I can’t reveal what the answer was until the minutes are released though.

If it’s not covered in those, I can tell you exactly what was said.

If the club has failed to publish the minutes by tomorrow evening, isn't it fair that you tell us at that point ?

If the club purposely delays, which for me they already are, they are effectively gagging you from passing critical information to the fans for which the FF is the only source of communication.

Waggott keeps talking about open and transparent communication so I can't see how he can take offence by information being passed down, which he has already put in the public domain at the meeting.

Beyond the AI generated rubbish they went with in their promotional material I see they are now reverting to the tried and tested marketing approach of sticking a microphone in the hands of supporter(s) who can tell us all about what having a season ticket means to them.

Very predictable and quite tiresome but I suppose when they've openly admitted that they can't offer us anything to look forward to in terms of what happens on the pitch the easier approach is to hand it over to the supporters to do their bit based on habits and traditions

Well I'm obviously a sucker for punishment, I've renewed this morning. I simply just can't not go.

I suspect there will be many more renewing than we on here expect…it’s a powerful drug but once you’re weaned off it, all too easy to avoid…

It will be higher than some on here expect. But like I said the other day they timed the release at the worst possible time - just as results were tanking, Glen’s campaign was  ramping up and Boardroom-gate.

I’d wager if they’d have gone on sale on Tuesday (on a good run, dissent has died down, outside chance of top 6) they’d sell ok, but a fair few will have made their mind up not to renew back in March.

I’ll go for 6/7k, which is still a complete disaster, but it won’t push them any closer to the door.

Thought we'd been over this, but it clearly bears repeating.

Please can we respect each others' decisions to attend or not attend, without blaming each other?

Thanks for your cooperation.

It's why I fully subscribe to the notion that something incredibly shady has / is happening at Rovers. The books must be a horror show and they don't want to open them to scrutiny to a potential buyer / the authorities.

It's costing them less over the last few years and maybe nothing in coming years yet their logo is still flashed across tv screens twice a week.

They still get an incredible amount of exposure even from Championship Rovers so that counts for something and they still own a historic piece of English sporting heritage.

I'm sure if one or more wanted to move here - maybe they already have lower down the family rankings - then it might help.

To them it's just like owning an old vintage classic you only get out and drive once in a while, rest of the time it's just parked in the company accounts garage but you can still show it off to your mates.
