I have heard this time and time, I wonder how many would actually come back

no this Blackburn Rovers FC. The club does exist. Supporters continue to back the club, attend games and pay their hard earned cash to watch their Rovers team.

It's Rovers in name only.

It is not the club I grew up supporting.

I do generally agree with this, and if it wasn't for my lad I lm not surenI would he renewing.

I've always liked to think that my ST money has helped contribute to the wages of some of the few good people left behind the scenes at the club.

Seems there has been a massive shift recently and we could be onto record low sales.

I think this is fair, my best mate still says he's going because it's important time spent with his son. It depends on your motivations. Take me and my dad for example, he took me to old Ewood and passed me over the turnstile in the Blackburn end as a kid. We've lived the dream, now we go and leave only with stress, apathy and disappointment, we've had enough.

To anyone who thinks I'm bad person for encouraging fans not to go, if it means much needed time spent with your family and friends then I encourage you to go. However for those who go out of habit, for those who are pissed off, for those living in false hope, for those looking for the most effective way to protest...

DO NOT BUY A SEASON TICKET.

If only, they’ve long gone and why wouldn’t you after 12 years of doing something else with your weekends (and cash).

deffo true that Matty, I know people who were Rovers fans back when we were PL club and walked away around getting Relegated from the PL and poor season after that. Not be a game for years, either gone supporting another team, moved away and started a family or found other things to do with their time

For me like loads of you I go for the day out a few pints and watch the team. My young lad has recently turned 4 and I’m hoping to get him to a game at ewood before this season is out. I don’t buy season tickets because of sky and that now the changes to fixtures just don’t represent value for money anymore as you can guarantee half with be changed kick off time. I absolute deteste this midday on Sunday kick off absolutely ridiculous. RTID rant over thanks

If they've 'gone supporting another team', then they were never Rovers fans in the first place.

all depends on the reason, If they have moved away and then their children support their local team and then take them each game, I wouldn't be slagging them off for that would you?

I genuinely can't understand how anyone can drop support for one team and pick up with another, whatever the circumstances.

Absolutely right.

Two former colleagues of mine moved 'away' with their families to Ripon and Richmond.  Both have long since stopped the commute to Ewood.  Their 'returns' became less and less frequent as their disillusionment grew.  However, they are still Rovers at heart and should the whole landscape at Ewood change then they would be prepared to start again - they have never thought of changing their allegiance.

If people move away or leave an area for whatever reason then they may go to watch another team just to see a game of football. But that’s it it’s not really support it’s just watching another team live now and again

There's a very clear Hearts and Minds campaign in progress right now.

They are feeling the Heat and Shitting themselves.

Somebody, somewhere, and it could be lunch lady Doris at this point, has seen that they've finally pushed the fans too far. Now they are panicking, not because the fans will fight back but because we'll walk away. They don't care about us or the attendances but they do care about bringing in more money to stop the owners having to put more money in.

"This season is about so much more than just football. It's about uniting as one club, one community, and one family."

👆 this is the line they are spouting now but it's too little, too late.

season ticket sales are going to be humiliating. 4000 adult ticket sale last season, reckon we'll be lucky to shift 3000 this time.

I've been NAPM since Coyle was appointed. I'll be first in the queue for a season ticket once Venky's leave - whatever league we are in.

I wonder if the club will say, the reason we charge more than other local clubs is to pay Waggott for his great work ?

That’s what it should say, something along the lines of

”please come on down to keep unqualified grifters in their job, won’t you please think about Rudy, Suhail and Steve?”

The club don’t do honesty.

Yes, people like you will be - you spend a load of your time on a Rovers message board, you are heavily in the financials, you get involved with the Trust, protests etc, you are obviously still heavily invested.

I’m talking about the ones that just watched a game at Ewood once a fortnight and that was about it, a load of our 20,000 ST holders were such fans, they walked away c2012, they’ve gone, and the vast majority won’t ever be back, as they are long, long out the habit.

I still find it hard to comprehend that having announced they are on sale from Tuesday they still haven't released any information about categories or pricing.

I've never seen that done before. Surely you release the prices before putting them on sale so people know what the deal is and can get their funds in order to buy?

There are only two possible explanations. One is that they are going up, they know full well the furore that this is going to create and the impact this will have on already pitiful sales, so are trying to just delay that as long as possible.

Or despite deciding to put them on sale in 2 days' time they haven't got around to finalising pricing or perhaps haven't yet informed those in the media department of the details, which wouldn't be a surprise down there.

I have come to the conclusion they take us fans for gullible fools.

Everything is fine, not to worry!..as the good ship Rovers begins to sink.

We have been kicked in the bollox too many times by this rabble running our Club, the shit is going to hit the Fan next Season I fear.

“It’s about pissing off another decent manager to the point where he leaves for a club embroiled in a relegation fight, and appointing a desperado”.

Anyone remember Ken Wilkie? Massive Rovers fan, home and away, Rovers flag on?

Can't remember the season but it was well before the "glory years", he was so pissed off with the clubs performance he went full on Burnley 🥴

I worked at Stanhill Ring at the same time as him.

Strange chap/fucking idiot.
