From who?

He is squad player now for me, I'm not saying he should be starting every game but he would be on my bench at least and he gives you hard work, team player, can play in 4 positions and score the odd goal. You need these types of players in your squad and I think having 2 or 3 players who can play 2 or 3 different positions are good assets in a squad. I just think people's thoughts are what he isn't and in factor ignored that he was picked alot of the time by our previous head coaches and people seems to think if Eustace had loads of money he wouldn't have been picked and Eustace would be more attacking where as I don't think 5 hours ago, roversfan99 said: Those same managers keep picking Pears. So based on your logic we shouldnt want him replaced, shouldnt focus on what he cant do and should see that they must see him as a good player? interesting, asking me questions expecting me to answer but don't show the same respect and courtesy in answering my questions to you. Is that your token response now whenever a question is asked that you know you cant answer, in this case because there is an inconsistency in your logic? If Hedges' worth is proven because managers pick him, surely so is Pears' worth? IMO, both have played so much simply as a symptom of our lack of budget and poor recruitment over a number of years. Every window we call for "a new number 1" and a "pacy winger." Offers hard work and is a team player. They should be a given. Versatile? Equally ineffective in a few positions. And scores "the odd goal!" You are stretching it there, literally one this season, one last. Youve literally listed goalscoring as one of his strengths.

More than willing to answer questions, but I expect it to work the other way but with yourself you either ignored it(like my questions in the recruitment/scouting thread) or don't answer(like what your starting 11 for England in the first world cup game), so there is little point in discussing with you unless you show the same respect and curiously to answer my questions. 33 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Offers hard work and is a team player. I recall him, but had to search to get the info below, which I hope you find useful. Played the odd game as a stand in mainly. As a youngster Glenn represented Wigan schools at both football and rugby league and he joined the town's football club, Wigan Athletic, when he left school.[3] His Football League debut arrived as a 17-year–old substitute against Port Vale on 6 September 1980, in place of his future Chester City team-mate Peter Houghton.[3] During his time at Wigan, he had a one-month trial with Chelsea in November 1982, during which time he played four times for their reserve side. The next three years produced more than 70 league appearances before he moved to Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer in August 1983.[3] After failing to establish himself as a regular in the Blackburn side, Glenn rejected the offer of a new contract in the summer of 1985 and joined Fourth Division side Chester City.[3] He played his first game for the club in a 1–1 draw with Halifax Town on 17 August 1985, alongside fellow debutants Wakeley Gage, Milton Graham and Lee Harley, in Harry McNally's first game as Chester manager.[4] Glenn helped Chester win promotion in his first season at the club, scoring his only goal in a 3–2 win at Colchester United late in the season.[3] Thanks IraC. That covers my uni years when I only saw Rovers during the holidays and odd away games I could get to - so may never have seen him play.

He'll be losing a lot of it in the summer anyway most likely and will have to find a new one. With the help of the Barrett Homes of the Championship.

TimmyJimmy Posted Tuesday at 09:25 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:25 Watched England v Latvia and was struck by how even a mediocre goaly (Zviedris of Riga?) dominated his box. Similar size and build to Pears but chalk and cheese in ability. This guy actually caught the ball, who'd have thought such a thing was possible. Wild flappy punches and diverting the odd one into your net was obligatory I thought. I know which one I'd prefer in the nets v Portsmouth's big lumps up front. Portsmouth 2-0 after 15 minutes, double yellow for one of ours and another season ending injury for a key player. Can't wait.
davulsukur Posted Tuesday at 09:43 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:43 Fairly confident that we will get turned over here. We don't like away games and we really don't like away games at newly promoted clubs. Couldn't have asked for a worse start if he tried. arbitro Posted Wednesday at 10:40 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:40 We have to start the game well and not concede any early goals like we have done in the last three away matches. In each of these the home crowd and players were visibly lifted whilst we were almost shell shocked. Ideally a clean sheet for starters and try to nick one for us. A passionate, partisan crowd need to be silenced. It's a big test for Ismael and the players after the no shows at Derby, Stoke and at home to Cardiff when you could see confidence visibly disappearing from some players.I Hopefully the drive home will be better than it has on most of the long distance away matches this season.
Tomphil2 Posted Wednesday at 15:46 Share Posted Wednesday at 15:46 (edited) Not sure on the total allocation but looks like there's not many left at all so another good Saturday afternoon long trek following on the cards. Time for the wallflowers to wake up from minute 1 and this head coach to show some grit not look like hes just been dropped into the dugout to watch the match. MarkBRFC Posted Wednesday at 15:48 Share Posted Wednesday at 15:48 Think it was about 1200 or so the allocation. Another great effort that I'm not sure anyone at the club really deserves.

Unless you’ve heard something ? When’s Beck fit again ? I’ve never known a season like this for injuries. You can count on the fingers of one hand the player who haven’t gone missing for long spells at some point. It's happened to us, the last 3 or 4 seasons, a half full dressing room full of injuries. With a flimsy squad like ours, we're bound to pick up injuries with players being overplayed.
