1990s John Williams I hope - he'd have to be in his 80s by now.

A good CEO would be given a budget every year and work towards it - as far as I'm aware they're not hands-on enough to change the budget mid-season. The A. Wharton sale (for example - and a good CEO wouldn't have sold him in January to the first bidder!) would have been reinvested into the squad, with some held back for running costs and a rainy day.

Suhail and Waggott are content to strip the club back to the bare bones then seem surprised when things fall apart.

I dont think waggott and suhail have that sort of financial control, but theres not really a way to orive that so we will have to disagree I suppose.

They are at the bottom and that's why the challenge appealed to the new owners. At least they have hope, we'll have to see how it ends.

What exactly are you saying? Getting a new owner might not pay so Venkys should stay?

Bizarre if so.

Regarding Carlisle and their new owners, your statement isn't true at all unfortunately.

They took over in December last year when they were in League 1. Their first priority was to keep them in the league and then hopefully push on. They came bottom in League 1 last season and they currently sit bottom of League 2, odds on to drop out of the Football League for the first time in a long time.

I'm from Cumbria and a couple of my best mates are Carlisle fans, so I follow what's going on there pretty closely. They are absolutely livid with the way things have panned out.

I've been done for a while. I moved back up north and attend a few games games a season. I used to attend home and away and in Europe (remember that?! Krakow was excellent!). The Burnley game was a glimpse of how it used to be with a full Ewood and a passionate and engaged crowd. It can be like that again if we manage somehow to rid ourselves of these owners.

It sounded pretty toxic in the stands in the first half. Good. But will it make a difference?

we`ve gone from being well organised and hard to break down to being clueless in defence and equally clueless in attack after  6 games, ismael has`nt got a clue and his players don`t appear to be on his side, dropping tronstadt for the invisible man buckley is a case of desperation because he`s run out of ideas already, frankly the summer rebuild will bring the whole ewood house down

I am going to throw my mortgage on us going down whilst the odds will still be slightly favourable. There is zero chance we stay up next season. Zero.

This squad is so far below Championship standard it's scary. Take out Travis and Brittain as will happen this summer and the remainder are all either plodders, journeymen, cripples or just gutless.

I know we were hailed the toughest in the league to break down at one point this season! Crazy!

I totally agree that we need rid of Venkys and their stooges, but I cannot accept such an inept display from players who have given up the ghost like so many did tonight. They are getting paid thousands a week to try their guts out for the club, the fans deserve that at the least.

Our issue is we are always going to stand still or move backwards. We always replace our better players with several loans or freebies.

kaminski - Pears/Toth/Wahlstead

Szmodics - Ohashi/Gueye/Dennis

BBD - Telalovic

Wharton - have we even replaced him?

I don't know much about Carlisle I admit but you haven't provided an argument as to why Rovers don't need to lose Venkys.

OK it seemingly isn't working out well at Carlisle but its not working out well at Ewood is it?

Should we stay as we are?

Anyone betting on that Derby will finish higher than us this season? They have Swansea, Portsmouth, Luton, Hull and Stoke left to face. Not impossible and if that were to actually happen, then all fans will understand the tremendous amount of damage caused by the owners and board for not being able to keep hold of Eustace. For all the inflatable snakes being displayed towards him as an act of being betrayed, the real ones are still at club, dismantling it piece by piece until nothing is left.

Some would argue he could have stayed and at least got us to the play offs and left in the summer.

Really think that game could have finished 4/5-0. It was so poor that I don't think Boro were taking us seriously. Especially their front players. Time and again they could have seen us off, but when they were around our penalty area players kept being selfish and going for goal, rather than playing the final ball.

More effort second half, but there is no system I've no idea what Ismael is trying to achieve. Neither do the players.

Only the fans came out of that with any respect.

I’m conflicted about this. Not sure whether I’m annoyed that him leaving derailed our slim promotion hopes or grateful for the heat it’s put on the owners/stooges.
