We would've taken 52 points at the start of the season eh? It's the hope that kills you.

Eustace walking away in the middle of a promotion chase and the second manager in a row that leaves after a diabolical January transfer window. Who would want to buy the club? Dwindling fanbase, small town. Reduced to a shadow of our old self in 15 years.

I just can’t stand them. What are they getting out of this? We despise them and they don’t like football.

Their henchmen like the type that pay good money to dress up in a gimp Suit and have a dominatrix kick them square in the balls, maybe it’s that kind of thing

I fail to see what Cantwell has done to earn a start. He’s been atrocious for ages and is one of the least commuted players I’ve seen in a Rovers shirt since Bradley Orr.

Awful Player, has the physical presence of a ten year old.

Rest of them not much better tbh.

Fans calling for the manager to go but not joining in with Venkys out. I despair with our fans , can’t see the wood for the trees

The first who will be proclaiming ‘life is good after Venky’s’ once they finally do piss off.

I am going to throw my mortgage on us going down whilst the odds will still be slightly favourable. There is zero chance we stay up next season. Zero.

Can't see the manager resigning

Long contract, he'll want paying up.

Can't see us sacking him because we can't afford to.

If he's still here November time, we're toast. I said December before, but I'm rapidly revising my prediction. I think November is being generous though. October more realistic

Because essentially the same squad has been right up in the playoff push in two out of the last three seasons, and flirted with it under Mowbray too. There are obvious weaknesses in the team but it can compete as it has shown in the right conditions with the right leadership.

The cardinal sins are not really about money. It has been utterly disillusioning two successful managers so they leave mid season, most recently totally derailing a well performing teams. That isn't fundamentally about budgets or investment - though that is a factor - it's about the chaos and mismanagement derived from our ludicrous ownership arrangement. Irrespective of financials we need clear engagement, communication and planning which the owners just cannot provide.

WE NEED THEM GONE.

It is about money though - not so much "why aren't the owners putting £20m in every year, the tight sods" and more "why do the owners employ absolute clowns who run the club into the ground - to the point where they had to take out a payday loan to stay solvent".

When Mowbray was here I said it was literally the best job in football as a manager - zero pressure from above (they were deliriously happy with mid-table finishes) and a decent Championship budget to splurge on whatever you wanted (£12m on two wide CFs? Why not).

With the right leadership in place we could almost be self sufficient - the Wharton / Szmodics / Raya / Kaminski money could have been used to reload the squad like Boro and Hull do (y'know, selling assets to acquire more saleable assets!). Instead it's all been put towards running costs, and then they wonder why the 31st Academy player to run out for us in 5 years and the freebie they picked up from a team in a relegation scrap in January isn't up to scratch.

We're dead in the water now without new ownership - an A. Wharton doesn't come along every Academy cycle.

The same sort of people who are buying Carlisle! People with money who want a challenge.

Don't fall for this guff, are you saying we have to have Venkys forever?

We'll die anyway if we do.

It's a slow painful death, a bit like life. 😉

I seriously have no clue what this manager is setting out to do, it is absolutely horrific to view. If he is actually any sort of manager (massively doubtful) he needs 25 new players next season because this lot have no idea what they should be doing.

Venkys out.

What do we do in training, seriously? Time after time we aimlessly chip it up the pitch with no real clue what to do.

Our attacking players are league 1 standard and are all painfully slow. January was the chance to really kick on but again we scraped the barrel with unwanted journeymen.

i don’t think VI can come back from this, genuinely think the writing is on the role for him already.

I'm a terrible gambler but tonight's result was an easy prediction.

An awful awful performance. again. The game was over 2 minutes in. This Rovers team isn't scoring 2 goals in a game.

The first half was pathetic. There was some effort in the second but Boro let off the gas.

Gueye was the pick of the bad bunch for me. Lost it every time it came to him. Spent the whole time moaning, then was lucky to stay on after catching the defender with an elbow. He deserved to be hooked at half time.

I'm not advocating for a team full of Dan Burn's but Rovers are woefully undersized, which coupled with a lack of pace really makes it hard to score goals.

Ismael has lost the players (did he ever have them?). Their body language is all off. The directors need to cut bait now but they won't and on Rovers toil.

I feel for those in the ground. People want the team to do well so cheer and get excited. It's much easier for me in front of my TV thousands of miles away to not get emotionally involved.

Have you seen the players he's had at his disposal?

We had two proper players on the bench tonight in Tronstad and Ohashi. The squad needs a serious revamp and we started the season with a squad that got stretched too thin. So many injuries and it's no surprise when every decision is all about penny pinching.

Think a lot of hype around cantwell few months back whereas now he’s offering very little. Would like to see a bit of aggression in his game  tbh

Crazy to think that we won six games in a row between Nov 9 and Dec 14.

Since then we've lost 12 out of 19 games. Our lads bloody love a good death spiral. Granted 5 of those 12 defeats have come under this joke of a manager.
