Come Friday the fan base just can't win. I cannot hope for a defeat, especially when we still have an extremely unlikely outside chance of top 6 - but a defeat would put us out of our misery and put the spotlight firmly on the management and ownership.

TBH - I can see us turning the form book upside down and getting an unlikely win or a useless draw.

You never know Buckleys one in ten game, might coincide with Dolans one in ten game.

Basic probability tells me that is 1 in 100 that it happens. Takes us to the first game of the play offs in season 2026/27 if we need all 100 games. Might be lucky and be in L2 play offs  vs Dolan's Derby or similar.

We did at some point yes.

4 wins in 19 games though.

9 defeats in our last 13.

Hopeless.

It will be 10 defeats in 14 after Friday.

I fail to see how Ismael can arrest the slide. Saturday was another mind boggling performance.

Eustace's teams kept it tight and nicked goals as Rovers strikers are far from prolific. Since he's gone the defensive organisation has disappeared but the lack of goalscoring remains.

And the 3rd head coach in a row bemoaning a lack of anything resembling a proper forward line.

If the reply from the club is low budget foreign punts and over priced short term known crocks then the 4 th head coach in a row will be saying the same thing.

Unfortunately I think to most that would just come across as 'shit fanbase' 'stadium too big for them' etc.

something more explicit and large would be needed to capture attention. Banners would probably be removed. Perhaps a group going, front row of the JW with a letter on each t shirt spelling "Waggott out" or Suhail or Venkys etc.

Expand

How about T- shirts with fuck off venkys written on them.

More than likely a loss, Boro got a good win yesterday and their playoff hopes have been reignited.

Rovers with apathy throughout the club from top to bottom, there's very little chance of a result here.

Expand

We've nothing to lose, give them a good hiding, and end our losing streak. The non performers owe it the faithful Rovers supporters.

Let's stick to the game plan as per Group Statement and support the team. Its a group effort and if people want to come back down for the last few games to show our fanbase is still there and what it can be then do so in force

I think a full turn out with some banners saying

"This is how Ewood used to look"

"This is how Ewood could look"

"This is how Ewood should look"

Expand

And one with fuck off Waggot and the Venkys, written on it.

Rovers 0 Boro 2

1 shot on target from Rovers and the easiest game of the season for Middlesbrough.

Expand

The pressures on boro, who have reignited their play off hopes. Rovers have nothing to play for, and owe it to the Rovers supporters to get a result.

As well as Gueys 1 in 10.

We can’t lose against “Middlesborough” because as a town and a club it doesn’t exist.

In our current dire form I don’t think we’ll get anything out of Middlesbrough though, despite our generally very good record against them

Rovers 0 Middlesbrough 1

I'm curious to see what the 'stage 2' of the protest is.

'Express yourself' is incredibly vague. Are they asking people to stay away? Go in numbers and protest?

If they're not careful you'll just have the usual crowd with a small number in the Blackburn End chanting anti-Waggott / Venky songs.

My interpretation is ,"Turn up and give them Hell", and that works for me 🙂

Given it might be my last time in the ground for years, I can't wait for Friday to come around.

We all know the season is over but there will be some deluded belief at the club we can still do it because we're only 5 points behind WBA, therefore the boys will wilt under the "pressure" and Boro won't have an easier game all season.

The one thing you can’t escape though pal is 5 points is only cupul of wins West Brom are far too unpredictable they slip up or draw a cupul before you know it your right back in it pal.

5 points off WBA, Boro and Bristol though. One of which can increase that gap to 8 on Friday night.

A couple of wins and 3 teams to slip up, in order to close the gap and then a few more to sustain the charge. We basically need to win like 6 of the last 7, if not 7 of the 7.

It's not happening in a million years.

We're 40/1 to finish in the top 6 as of a few minutes ago:

Bookies can be wrong of course, feel free to make your own mind up.

The run of Derby, Stoke & Cardiff did for us. If we had won even two of those matches against absolute fodder we would be right in there. As it stands, not a hope in hell imo.

Edit - some bookies have us as low as 25/1, my mistake. Think the point still stands, that's a 4% chance in their opinion.

I’m not being funny, but the “only ‘x’ points from the Play Off positions”, has been a recurring illusion over recent seasons.

If we were 7th, and there was only one team to catch, that would be a different type of equation, (although even then our current form would make it highly unlikely).

There are now several teams between us and 6th place, and even if our form was suddenly to change, not all of those sides above us will have a dodgy run.

The only blessing is that, thanks to Eustace and his staff, we are not in danger of relegation.

Fast forward 12 months and I expect things will look much bleaker for us.
