This side of things interests me. Why has he suddenly, after all these years, assumed a public persona?

We know that he has been heavily involved since at least 2015. In a decade since there have been no interviews, a couple of photos of him sat next to Waggott and that's it.

Now all of a sudden he's volunteering to do hour long sit down interviews and he's apparently overseeing the commercial operation.

It's just a very odd recent shift in his approach.

It also doesn't make much sense to me that he's now seemingly tasked with overseeing operations and commercial activity and 'reports' to Waggott on this yet continues in his other role as Venky representative/communicator.

I always assumed that his anonymity and silence in the shadows was enforced by the owners, because they didn't want one of their gang being exposed and publicly scrutinised after their experiences back at the start of their ownership. Then with this I ask myself whether it was all his decision to remain silent and run things from the shadows, and he has chosen now to be the time to emerge.

Why now?

We've technically been in worse situations during his time - relegation to League One, League One, a very close relegation battle last season. No appearance or comment from shadow man.

I'm linking his emergence to his new job title as 'COO' which has only happened in the last year.

I am however convinced that he is the biggest issue in the corridors of Ewood - far bigger than Waggott or Gestede - and I am also of the belief that it is he who has ensured there is no link between manager and India. I remember Broughton and JDT wanting to go out to see the Indians but it was scuppered by someone - I think he enjoys being the only point of contact to India - but nonetheless the Indians are the root of all this. They have to go and the regime collapses quickly at Ewood.

He was involved in 2011 - I have first hand knowledge of that

I heard the David Lowe thing from one of Dunny’s previous assistants at another club when he came to us as a driver during Covid.

Can’t remember the exactly under which manager it happened, but I was told that Lowe was removed by someone in charge as part of the backroom staff (possibly when Lambert or Coyle was manager?) and rehired directly by Balaji Rao.

Then he randomly got promoted to Asst Manager when Mowbray came in, and signed a new deal with the club in June 2017.

It never occurred to me until this has started coming out through other channels, but could it be that Lowe is (in Venky minds) superior to Pasha?

David Lowe is actually Mrs D in a Scooby Doo mask. It all makes sense now.

Explains why his face doesn't fit properly on his head.

Could we be about to see the Snakes turn on one another?...

At some point, self preservation will kick in for all those in the firing line. Worryingly for us, you'd imagine Suhail will be the prime candidate for survival, as he clearly already has the Rao's trust.

Christ. Even if only half of this is true, it would prove just how badly run this club is. SW rumoured to be retiring or leaving soon starts to make sense when SP/RG seems to have been going against him in many of the decisions made. I have no doubt that RG will be the next CEO and owners' right hand in terms of loyalty. Problem is he is clearly unqualified for the position; him pushing hard for VI is just one example, having disagreements with JP on transfer targets is another.

Starting to believe that there's some kind of incentive/ bonus payment for board members if they manage to keep spending within the budget set by owners at the start of each season. This would explain why there never seem to be any transfer money left to spend come January and the infamous "botched" transfer moves all happened during this period as well. SP is looking like the real gatekeeper behind all these blockages; an act of evil for sure.

Said it before that a downgrade of the Academy from Category 1 will spell the beginning of the end for the owners as it will drain the club of whatever small amount of talented players that comes through the ranks, and thus the value of sellable assets will slowly head towards zero. Would be kinda ironic if SP were to be the one that makes a horrible cost-cutting decision that will ultimately lead to owners being forced to sell the club...

Too many initials for me.

There clearly an OCG operating, and the SIO doesn't realise a CI is releasing information behind the scenes.

The end result = it's all FUBAR

All the pieces of this turgid jigsaw coming together now.The self preservation society have been rumbled.

Pigs gorging at the Venky Trough while the rest of the Club Starves.

It's important to state the obvious that these rumours are just that.

Is all of it true? Possibly.

Is some of it true? The smart bet is yes.

I am suspicious of a couple of things.

If Gestede had been talking to other managers since August then why did it take weeks to appoint VI?

Quite a bit of what's said above has been said on here over the last few weeks and months, there some more meat to the bones in what the supposed insider says, so is this embellishments or actual truth?

We've heard different versions of John Park's departure. One version is that he had a power struggle with Gestede and left (nixon). The other that was passed on from Unleaded, is that Eustace was blocking any and all transfers and Park left as a result. Now there's this version above that claims the exact opposite and leans more into Park vs Gestede.

Amazingly, the most credible version is Nixon's.

I never believed the info that unleaded was passing on about this, it was all too conveniently pinning all the blame on Eustace. Not 8n any way a knock on unleaded, he's usually got solid info but I think this time he was fed a load of shit.

This third version again is an expansion on what we've already heard.

The main thing that sticks out to me is that once again venkys are portrayed as a completely innocent party in all of this. They're not.

This is all very good for discussion but we must make sure we stick to the facts when it counts. I personally don't take any of this too seriously until someone is willing to put their name to it.

One thing's for sure, they can't discredit or argue against this:

We've plenty of ammunition to use against them without having to rely on rumours and gossip.

If "Ashley" does indeed work at Rovers and claims to have inside information on the ongoing chaos at the club  it's to be hoped Ashley isn't his real name ?
