The balance of probabilities always pointed to Dennis being a flop despite obvious ability just the same as it pointed to Fleck and Ennis turning out to be duds.

In the stat driven world of football WHY do these morons keep signing players of that ilk and how much has been spaffed on 2 of those in wages without return ?

A million quid plus agents fees at least for absolutely nothing yet this fat director and his sidekick remain in office and are about to see more good players of value leave for nothing.

I mean who'd have thought a player who hadn't kicked a ball for 9 or 10 months might spend more time out injured than available or at least  not be match fit?

Thank God we have football "professionals" earning hundreds of thousands of pounds a year running the Club.

Yeah... Im very skeptical of Premier League players coming down to the Championship anyway. More likely than not to be poorly motivated and not focussed, and on top of that very expensive. If you add a long layoff not playing its an obvious problem. Id be quite happy for us to never sign a senior premier league player again.

Agents, of which Waggott was once one as Andy Cole would readily testify.

My own view too.

Are we thinking the Dennis loan has the same functionality as the likes of Stokes, Goodwillie, the Portugeezers et al?

Gestede said it was a risk signing given that their first choice striker was available before the window open, then window open and he wasn't but would be at the end of the window which didn't happen. So they took a risk on Dennis

A skint club should never ever be risking 20/30 thousand pounds a week on someone like him that's the player sales money they are throwing down the pan.

Every signing is a gamble but some are way more than others and have huge red flags already visible so i assume it was a panic signing to try and keep Eustace happy. These are the same CEO & COO who oversaw the signing of Poveda from Leeds costing 20 grand a week wage contribution and failed to insert a clause if he was injured here.

So he went back to Leeds for most of his loan to receive treatment and those clowns had to keep paying 20k a week, then Waggot took over Flecks Sheff U contract and paid him till July for nothing.

They are not fit for purpose.

How did Toth play yesterday?

Any better on crosses?

He had a good game - positioning and distribution in particular were levels above his predecessor.

Crosses fine from memory, don't recall any specific issues.

Millwall banged a few in early doors and he did ok, couple of nervy moments and a few really good saves iv'e seen it argued that one of those would've gone straight through Pears.

Steady enough game and something to build on.

agreed.

He started to come for a ball then realised he wasn't getting there so stop coming out and made a smart save.

Toth should play for the rest of the season for me

Sunderland will be a big test for Toth and we'll see how he handles a huge expectant crowd and top end side with something to play for.

Hope he keeps his place for that as we are likely to see what he's made of in that one.
