Last game of season we beat Sheffield Utd, hand Burnley promotion, and still miss out on the play offs on goal difference.

Nah Burnley will be up by bedtime tonight sadly

We knocked it around well in the first half despite not creating much. Dolan had a good game and as the season closes he's certainly going to be a player we miss. Thought Montgomery did well when he came on, looking forward to seeing him more.

Played himself perfectly into Eustace's rebuild.

Watching snooker so that's that!

Not keen on Forshaw but he did well for twenty odd minutes he was on.

Last two matches:

Bristol City: Leeds (A), Preston (H)

Coventry: Luton (A), Middlesbrough (H)

Middlesbrough: Norwich (H), Coventry (A)

Millwall: Swansea (H), Burnley (A)

Rovers: Watford (H), Sheffield Utd (A)

Frustrating that we always seem to pick up form at the very end of season when it's all but too late. We need six points, Millwall need to drop points in one of their remaining games and Coventry have to lose against Luton and draw against Boro on the final day.

That horrendous five-game losing streak against the likes of Cardiff, Stoke, Derby and Portsmouth is really looking nasty right now, almost unforgivable given that a more pragmatic approach in those games would more than likely have secured valuable points.

I could gripe about the losing run we had, but honestly, injured guys coming back, & new mgr taking hold, things are much better than then.

Now, if we can get pts in our last two, the off-season will be much more pleasant than I thought it would be, a month ago.

Delighted with that win. 3 wins back to back. Pleased to see that and we back to winning games.

Very well worked goal and good pass by Woodrow and Dolan good skill to shoot and score.

Thought overall we were solid mostly. Hyam and Batth outstanding. Toth another solid game after he spill the ball that almost went in. Pleased what I have seen from him. My man of the match was Danny Batth

Wasn't keen on Ismael switching us to back 5 in 5-3-2- formation and thought we sat back too much. Good to Tyjon and Montgomery coming on and did well.

Pleased for all those away fans at Stadium of the light that they got a win and solid away performance.

A couple of wins and we'd still be in the play offs.

Injuries did us, lack of depth.

They didn't take the Tronstad injury seriously enough and cheaped out on Forshaw.

A total nothing signing - not one a team in 4th should have ever looked at. Unless they simply weren't being backed at all....

An extremely predictable and costly decision.

Incompetence in the boardroom and no cash from the owners derailed our season.

That was a hard watch, but Sunderland were so lazy and lacking in ideas, it was the least we could do to relieve them of the points.

Sad that with the other results all going our way we would have been in a great position had we just maintained even average form following the Frenchman's arrival. At least the season stutters on..

VENKYS OUT!

Can they afford his wages though ?

I reckon it'll be a straight shootout between him and Mowbray for Ty, if TM is still in a job of course.

WBA will pay him more than Derby.

Sunderland poor.

Still, you do what you gotta do and we did -efficiently.

What was the average age of the Sunderland players -12?

Love us to get in the play offs and win it (no chance) to see the reaction of the stooges and Raos.

We won't get into playoffs

Was never the clubs ambition.

Great we won again but we threw the play offs away a couple of months ago already

Nothing worth celebrating. I'm fuming to be honest.

We killed ourselves.

I'm indifferent at this point. Intentional sabotage, again.
