IMO Buckley's best football at Rovers when he played in that position I think JRC isn't a right back for me, defensive not good enough. JRC might be better from the right side of the attack. Buckley has a ten could be ideal for him or in 3 man midfield team Quote

JRC's best football was as an inverted full back which would require a major change in football philosphy not just a change of formation when subbing a player. This might work if playing against one up front. I cannot see this happening under this coach so putting JRC on the bench is just waste as he a poor in a central two, defensively as a full back or put up against a full back out wide as a forward. He deffo need to move on for himself. Big fan of him but I dont see where he fits in under Ismael's tactics and approach to games Quote

Buckley’s been tried in the Travis/Tronstad role and he lacks the necessary diligence to play there. 1 Quote
Lancaster Rover Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Unfortunately for JRC he has now spent longer at Rovers looking like the player who was an injury crisis away from being released than the 18 game purple patch playing in a modified 3-4-3 under JDT. The performance against Blackpool this year killed him 2 Quote

The drift into midfield from full back was ideal as he does not know to stay in position when playing a set position of full back or central midfield Quote

The current head coach and previous 2 head coaches never thought of him as that player 44 minutes ago, dingles staying down 4ever said: Correct he is just as poor in either position. So could Dennis. That’s the only position where Buckley has looked to be a player. Anywhere else the game can pass him by. 2 Quote

Great turnaround by the lads and then soon after full time the band playing live music played Wild Rover. Gotta love that for a coincidence Come on admit it, you slipped him a request ;) 2 Quote

He looked best as false 9 under Mowbray. Sometimes as a ten, JDT, Eustace and Ismael seen him as number 10. They all played in centre midfielder.. Buckley needs to start playing regular and fulfill his potential. In the right team he would be the playmaker of the team Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Buckley would be a good league 1 player in a decent team otherwise he's never anything more than a squad man back up player at this level. That won't change i don't think. 2 Quote

JDT, Eustace and Ismael have played him centrally and look at the results, he cant play that position Quote
