... Posted yesterday at 06:51 Author Posted yesterday at 06:51 (edited) Woke up this morning feeling rather optimistic. Not sure whether it's the sunshine or the fact I've got an easier day at work today, but knowing there's a chance is enough. If we can just hold it together and not fall apart in the first 10 minutes It'll settle me down. To all those that are going, get up get loud, 12th man for the full 90 COME ON YOU BLUES 🔵⚪️ Edited yesterday at 06:51 by ... 4 Quote

wilba23 Posted yesterday at 11:44 Posted yesterday at 11:44 Maybe it's my age or the amount of times I've had my hope crushed with Rovers over the past few years but sadly I can see the required results going our way but we just can't get over the line - so Rovers. Maybe that would give more fuel to the call that if only they'd strengthened earlier in January we could have pulled off a couple of better results during our dismal run and already be safely assured of a shit at the play-offs. I'd like to be proven magnificently wrong but I just don't want to get my hopes up again. 1 Quote

It's our luck to be in sight of the finish line but a win here and potentially playing them again will really put them on a high and go into the playoffs comfortably Quote

Maybe with stipulation that they get some of or all of the parachute money which would obviously make it difficult but it would actually deter fly by nights who only had their eyes on that. At least that's what i'd do business wise because it's the only chance of getting significant money back. Just couldn't see them letting go on promotion for less than 100 mill plus and i still couldn't see anyone paying that for the club but you never know. Verdict is we'd probably be stuck with each other and go through another doom loop unless we could get back up again which under this stewardship would be very unlikely imo. That bit I posted from the accounts suggested there’d be after what they’re ‘owed’ (£134 million) plus the money they’ve ‘invested’ in shares (£86 million). Good luck with that… 1 Quote

Good luck with that… Perhaps that's the real reason the drawbridge has gone up. They've spent what they deem they'd get back from 1 season in the Prem plus parachutes and haven't got a promotion so that's it they won't go any further. It's hard not to feel they've cut the club adrift now aside from maybe a sponsorship deal with the Venky part of the company despite what waffle is spouted by the 3 goons. A few things dropped in there bu Suhail got my attention after telling everyone there are no restrictions he drops in bits about owners saying 'we'll see what we can do to help' and 'we'll help you if we can', very concerning if you think about it. Certainly doesn't sound like 'we'll pay all the bills don't worry' type stuff we used to hear. 3 Quote
