Miller to Retire.

Following on from this weeks news that Rovers are not going to extend goalkeeper Ryan Robinsons contract, news has been released today that keeper Alan Miller has been forced to retire due to a back injury.

Miller signed from West Brom by Tony Parks, has decided after medical advice to retire from professional football.

May I behalf of all Rovers fans wish Alan the best for the future.

Miller has been out of action since he suffered a slipped disc, a result of a freak training ground accident shortly before Christmas.

After the accident he had an operation and has had months of intensive treatment, but has failed to make a full recovery and he's now taken the decision to quit on medical advice.

Miller had a similar problem with his back about 10 years ago.
