bob fleming Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 It's looking like it'll be pay on the gate. Hotel booked. Flights booked. Liver warned. Looking forward to this!
Jordan Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Just booked a triple room in the North Star Hotel for two nights bed and breakfast costing £205 works out at £38.50 per night, per person.
hynot Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 I'm also staying at the North Star 2 nights (Wed/Thur) and I know of at least 3 others that are staying there as well. Could be some serious drinking going on there.
Ewood Spark Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 Anybody else going by ferry (Tue 5th Fastferry from Holyhead)? If you are, how about a Guinness or three?
Dr Rich Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 I don't think they have decided on full ticket details yet. Prices should be 15euros adult, 5euros children Probably won't be pay-on-the-gate, which I presume is a logistic decision, Bray are a very small club. That's all the extra-info I have, let you know as soon as I find out.
Jordan Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 I'm also staying at the North Star 2 nights (Wed/Thur) and I know of at least 3 others that are staying there as well. Could be some serious drinking going on there. Brilliant should be a good crack. There are 3 of us. Rang up B'burn today and they say the game is definatley pay on the gate.

daviemac Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Tickets on sale from Bray Wanderers. Just got my 10, at 15 Euros each for adults. Even the guy on the Bray side cannot understand Duffer wanting to go to Chelsea! Link Here
Tris Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Just got mine, wouldn't hang around guys, the ground looks pretty small !! (see Daviemac's link and follow yer nose for the pics of the ground)
Laurence Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Got mine - its an open ground, no segregation, should be good. Let's just hope the greatest living Irishman is there as well.
Flopsy Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 what Bono? Anyway thats ferry/hotel and footer booked - who wants to start putting bets on what buggers up first? me im going for the hotel
Scotty Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 I've just booked mine as well. I spoke to a very friendly fella on the phone - let's hope the locals are the same. By the way Flopsy, I'm equally worried about the hotel.
Kandevil Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Just got mine too, he was a very friendly fella, to be sure. Hotel? Hotel? Knew there was something else I needed to get!
Jordan Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Flights booked, hotel booked and now match tickets are on their way. Just to let you know they will only accept Visa and Mastercard .
DP Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 Bugger. Ticket office closes at 4pm. That's me in work at the phone for 5 to 9 in the morning.
hynot Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 Tickets, plane and hotel booked. Roll on the 6th Aug.......
Lee Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 After speaking to Bray, it looks like the Rovers ticket office will be getting hold of a hundred or so, more on this early next week.
1864roverite Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 take plenty of money, the euro has doubled the price of beer and lager !! your talking around 3.00 per pint and in some cases 4.30 !
Dr Rich Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 Can't say I didn't warn you about the tickets. Selling incredibly quickly by all accounts. We have the 7-a-side(or 6 or 5, I don't know what they'll decide) football organised. To take place in Louglinstown sports centre from 1-3 on the day of the game. It's pretty close to Bray, we propose to collect people at Shankhill DART station and bring them to the complex. If anybody is interested in taking part, whether you have a full-team or just yourself, could you email Martin at cookierovers@eircom.net and let him know. Cost is 35euro for each team(at the projected amount of teams). We're meeting up with our own lot in Katie Gallaghers pub before the game, you're welcome to come along too, directions can be found on our website picture below.
Jordan Posted July 19, 2003 Posted July 19, 2003 Got mine in the post today and the ticket number is 746 so i would imagine that is how many have being sold at least. Can people post which hotels thy are staying in. We are in the North Star Hotel. Also i know in Sofia we all arranged to meet up in JJ Murphys one night an it was brilliant, any plans to do the same, but in Dublin?
daviemac Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Bray tickets arrived, was getting a bit worried And could they make them any smaller It feels kinda flat with the Duffer move, but the excitement will build as my self imposed alcohol fast will end in time for the trip
Kandevil Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Got my ticket today, I'm wondering how I'm going to get it on the plane, could well face excess baggage charges for it I think. Absolutely no chance of it fitting in my pocket.
