Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce has admitted to the official Birmingham City web site, www.blues.premiumtv.co.uk that the club remain determined to sign Blackburn’s midfielder David Dunn.

Bruce is quoted as saying. : “I am still very much in the chase and talks are ongoing. We tabled a bid for him three weeks ago and it is a little bit of a stalemate, so we need to be patient.

“There is still a long way left in the transfer window, something like nine weeks. We hope he will sign for us but we will just have to wait and see. If not we will have to look elsewhere.”

Updated 22.6.2003.

Reports would indicate that Graeme Souness has given Birmingham a deadline for completing the deal. Souness doesnt want Dunn back in pre-season training with his future in doubt.
