Whilst there where rumours yesterday that Rangers defender Amoruso was to have a medical at Ewood Park there is still no confirmation from the club regarding his signing.

Graeme Souness is reported to be still hopeful of signing Millwall’s Republic of Ireland winger Steven Reid.

The Blackburn manager is being quoted on a number of web sites as saying. “We have made an offer for Steven Reid which is on the Millwall chairman’s desk.

“We think it is a very fair bid and what happens next is up to them.

Meanwhile negotiations are continuing with Birmingham regarding the transfer of David Dunn. Blackburn are understood to want a guaranteed payment of £4m, plus £1.5m in additional payments for the midfielder.
