Alan75 Posted July 25, 2003 Author Posted July 25, 2003 Following early fears that David Thompson will miss the start of the season after limping out of a pre-season friendly on Wednesday against Washington, Rovers insist he only has a minor ankle knock and it will not stop him targeting the opening game of the season against Wolves. Chief executive John Williams told the club's official website: "The pitches over in America have been very hard and David picked up an ankle injury in training. "Early in Wednesday's game he aggravated that and was withdrawn. He will be okay."
