Blackburn are hoping to complete the signing of Vratislav Gresko on Friday, after the Slovakian defender was today granted a work permit.

Rovers have revealed today that they are looking at another Slovakian - striker Robert Vittek.

During his loan period last season from Parma, Gresko became an instant favourite with the Blackburn Supporters and has now accepted personal terms to keep him at Ewood Park for three years.

Meanwhile Rovers revealed they are to give Slovakian striker Robert Vittek a trial.

The 21-year-old, has won 17 caps. and was the Slovakian league's top scorer with 19 goals last season.

Rovers completed the signing of Vratislav Gresko this morning.

Rovers chief executive John Williams told the club's official website: "We are delighted to officially add Vratislav to our squad.

"He has signed a three year deal for a fee of around £1.2million."
