With no football at Ewood Park, due to International call ups, the news this week sounds more like a page out of Farmers Weekly.

Blackburn’s Irish midfielder Alan Mahon looks set to join the Tractor boys on a 3 months loan. Ipswich manager Joe Royle told the Ipswich web site that he has talked to Mahon and hopes he will be involved in training with the Tractor boys next week. Meanwhile Blackburn old boy Marcus Bent has joined the Leicester Foxes from the tractor boys on a season long loan.

Meanwhile another Blackburn player going out on loan, is Andy Todd, who is joining former Rover’s defender David May at Burnley, where the M65 turns to cobbles, and sheep grazing on the central reservation is a common site.
