Blackburn and Gençlerbirligi supporters took part in the Fans United Friendly, prior to their clubs UEFA Cup game on Wednesday night.

As Blackburn’s supporters return from their trip to Turkey, the tales of welcome from the Gençlerbirligi supporters and their friendly adventures are being told around this small Lancashire town. This small band of supporters may never get the credit they deserve in the national press, as their experiences didn’t involve the negative side of football, it was all about the love of the game. The Blackburn and Gençlerbirligi supporters who arranged and participated in the Fans Friendly football game and celebrations after the UEFA game between their respective clubs can be proud of their behaviour. Their achievements will go down in Blackburn folklore and hopefully it will be a foundation on which all football loving supporters can build on.
