Two second half goals from Sinama Pongella gave Liverpool Res all 3 points against Blackburn Res at Christie Park tonight.

In a game that started lively, with Yelldell making two excellent saves to defy Liverpool and Rover's Fitzgerald having a header cleared off the line, all within 2 minutes from kick off.

However the lively start turned into a dull affair for the 1200 spectators, the highlights of the night being Pongella's goals in the 53 and 58 minute.
