pg
If you are playling a team that is 5-4-1, use offensive wingbacks and offensive central defenders if his attack is very weak compared to your defence. Try 3-5-2 with all players as offensive. It has worked for me in the past : 3-4-3 with two wingers and three forwards is also good, but not if you don't have any formation experience. Here are some examples : http://www17.hattrick.org/Common/matchDeta...atchID=15620425 http://www17.hattrick.org/Common/matchDeta...atchID=20736455

Oklahoma
well, next weekend I am going to try to avoid relegation. Wish me luck!! As I'm not a specialist in the game, I'll keep the same tactics. The good news is, I have some money to streghten the team. The bad one is I have 3 midfielders injured for 3 and 4 weeks and one of them is my best player. I'm making my webpage on ht-arena so drop by and tell me what you think of it. Any suggestions are welcome. Buckley FC I'm going to do a hattrick friends list. DO you want to be on it? If so, send me your details (team, username, webpage, country, etc) Thanks!
American
I followed both matches and they were eerily similar losses The sale is on. Have bought a few passable 17 year olds for good prices. Went buying monday night when all of Europe was asleep.
LeftWinger
I've made the play offs after keeping up my good home run. Not lost at home in the league for nearly 10 months now. Decided against going for promotion though. Playing a very weakened side and playing it cool. I'm nowhere near as good as the team I'm up against- and they've struggled this season. Think I just need another couple of seasons to build a team that can survive at the next level. I'm gonna make my club as strong as possible in the bottom division before trying to climb my way up the leagues.
USRoverME
just had my best YP ever... 2800 TSI a 17 y.o. passable keeper that the hottrick tool rates at like a 6.94 if only it had been next week!
Oklahoma
I won my playoff match 4-0. My recent signing scored 3 goals. I'm still not sure if I'll change my training for this new season. I train midfielders in a 3-5-2 formation. I may train defenders but i don't want top change formation. What do you think?
samtheozzy
Training defenders in a 3-5-2 formation is a waste of 4 training spots per week okie, don't do it. I achieved auto-promotion and I am now in IV.32, the SECOND-HARDEST GODDAMN DIV IV IN OCEANIA!!! Seriously, there are guys pulling excellent midfields when they PIC! I am totally screwed but at least I have made a lot of progress in rebuilding my team. Read my current news announcement if you fancy a giggle. Supine Rovers. pg
Oaklahoma - training defence is hard if you want to win. I managed to do it many seasons ago. Often you will have to play 3-5-2 to win a game. Which means sacrificing training spots. But if you play 5-4-1 in a midweek friendly, its not too bad. Unless you have the right mix of players, it is very hard to win with a 5-4-1 or 5-3-2. But you can play 4-4-2 (either symmetric or with 3 inner mids) or 4-5-1 with some success. Most of the top defender trainers in Oz play 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 CA. Oklahoma
Thanks, guys!! I might continue training my midfielders to sell some later! A friend of mine opted to throw away a season and train coaches. He is making a lot of money out of it. I was going to do the same if I was relegated
American
Thinking about getting a new coach, just to change things up. I have 2 players with solid leadership I'm considering converting. 2 things: Can they still play and train if they are my coach? Does age matter?
AlanSheppard
Coaches can still play and age doesn't matter. They just need to have at least solid XP to be made into a solid coach. If I were to train defence I'd play 4-4-2 in the league with a young midfielder as an offensive centre back and then a 5-x-x (probably 5-3-2) in the cup and friendlies. samtheozzy
But be careful American, you can't sell a player that you make into a coach so don't chuck one of your gun trainees in there. LeftWinger
This is my first youth pull of the season. Very happy- especially as I'm training playmaking. Not had anything that great through for almost 2 months- so nice to get a good one early on in the season. With a bit of luck- he'll be an 18 year old with outstanding playmaking at the end of the season- should be worth a few quid. Arthur Horvath TSI = 1 450 , 18 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: solid Passing: inadequate Winger: poor Defending: inadequate Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate
USRoverME
I know its real early in the season, so Big A and pg are probably light-years from thinking about it, but whatever happened to a "BRFCS.com" cup? We tossed the idea out, but we never got it going, any interest later on this season? PS my YPs are rubbish, YS should be excellent in the next few weeks... Currently sitting on 4 pts from 2 matches, a bore 0-0 draw with last years series winners and a 5-0 drubbing of a new team... still have yet to concede a goal! USRoverME
silly me mixed up my EIM and my Normal CD orders.... so I got a poor defender playing as my only CD, and a wretched PM playing as an EIM..... augh... The only time I didn't recheck my lineup in the last like 10 weeks, and this happens
American
Lost to one of my 2 big rivals, 0-1, but got 38 away from a sell-out and was without my 2 best strikers, who have been injured for several weeks. Didn't expect to go up this season as I sold most of my older players, anyhow. Next season I will have a load of cash and rebuild.

It depends if I go out of the cup early or not I guess as to whether I'd be interested. I'm happy to go along with what you guys want, you might want to consider having preliminary rounds for the lower league clubs with myself and pg joining at a later stage. samtheozzy
Hey BigA. My star trainee (Dante Martin) is English and should level to Magnificent very soon. Are you at all interested? If not, what level striker would you be interested in?
AlanSheppard
I'd really be interested in supernat - ex-t, ideally with quick speciality. I doubt I'll be upgrading for some time though, changing from keeper to defender training next season will take up most of my cash for a good while. After that it'll be striker shopping time! USRoverME
I've used Transfer Compare, but I wanted to get a "real life" version as well.... I started playing 6 months ago, and brought a young crop of "pure wingers" to train... now I have 1 19 y.o. outstanding (1/2 way to the next pop) and 3 18 y.o. formidables (will start poping next week), none have PM higher than weak, all have stamina solid or excellent, and 1or 2 have inadequate passing... Will probably sell at least 1 or 2 before the end of the year at brilliant or so.. any idea what kind of cash they will be worth?
AlanSheppard
I sold a brilliant winger without much else for £1M (that's $1.5m I think) in the middle of last season. Hmm well unfortunatly I'm out of the cup now although I'm pleased to say that pg's still flying the BRFCS flag. I may be interested in a BRFCS cup although things look rather complicated as I think I'll be playing in another cup after round 8 of the league. Biscuitbutt81
Hey, guys! I'm finally looking to upgrade my coach. I should have about 2 million (DOLLARS) soon, and I'd really like to know what I should shoot for. My team ID is: 222781 What would you suggest?
