For what appeared to be a an clean 50-50 tackle Ferguson lay motionless and initial reaction from the medical staff and Graeme Souness it would appear that the Scot, who has made a quick impact at Ewood Park, could be out for some time. Reports currently circulating vary from a dislocated to a fractured knee cap, either of which will keep him out for the remainder of the season. Blackburn manager Souness, is reported on Sky Sports to have said. "We've got the three points today but the joy is tempered somewhat with the news about Barry Ferguson. He has broken his kneecap and that will put him out for the remainder of the season,"
