After all the negociations by Rover's Chief Executive John Williams, during the last few weeks, Rover’s transfer target, Brain McBride has announced at a Columbus Crewe press conference that he has agreed to join Fulham. The signing of the American International comes on the back of the announcement that the London club have agreed to sell striker Louis Saha to Manchester United. The London club having already signed former Rover’s centre back Ian Pearce from West Ham.

Reports would also suggest that Graeme Souness has also suffered further disappointment in his attempts to strengthen his squad, when Middlesbrough rejected his enquiry regarding midfielder Stewart Downing.

It is being reported that Blackburn have told Birmingham that they will have increase their initial offer of £1.5m to £2m in order to sign defender Tiny Taylor.
