Alan75 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 After getting the winner in his debut against Middlesbrough, Jon Stead must think he's in a dream, as he became the new hero of the Blackburn End when he scored on his home debut. Again, as at Middlesbrough, the architect of Stead's goal was Paul Gallagher who cut in from the right to cross the ball into Stead's path, who slid in on the left hand side, to shot from close range and give Rovers a share of the points against Nexcastle. Stead's goal five minutes from time was a deserved reward for Rovers after Craig Bellamy's had put Newcastle into the lead just after half time.
