roversWASmylife Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Correct. "We`re Blackburn Rovers, we follow our team, we`re Blackburn Rovers, we are surpreme, we`ll never be mastered by Burnley B£$%^&*$, we`ll keep the Blue flag flying high!" By the way, shouldn`t this be in the songs section? Quote
Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Everytime i see Rovers play, i always find the following song really hard to sing along to due to my accent. "Souness's Blue and White Army" Being a Southerner, to me it sounds like: "Souness's Blight Army" and if i ever try to sing it, im saying Blue and White army, yet everyone else has already finished the song as they say it faster than me. The Blunderer Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 We're affected by hearing outdoor newspaper sellers Tim, try practising with.. "Heavnin..tlgrf" Evening Telegraph "Mlakmurr...tam" Blackburn Times (for the benefit of younger listers) :'> Quote
s_simpson_9 Posted February 24, 2004 Author Posted February 24, 2004 Thank you very much everyone. i didnt expect so many responses but you have made me a happy man. Quote
bob fleming Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 "Souness's Blue and White Army" Being a Southerner, to me it sounds like: "Souness's Blight Army" Reminds me of... "King Kenny's Blue & White Army" Which sounded like... "Kinky Knees Blue & White Army" apparently - probably 'cause it does. Quote
Kiwiwannabe Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 "We`re Blackburn Rovers, we follow our team, we`re Blackburn Rovers, we are surpreme... Those aren't the words I sing! Isnt it: "Forever and ever, we'll follow our team...." Quote
Jordan Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Forever n ever, we'll follow our team we're Blackburn Rovers, we are supreme we'll never be mastered by you, you Burnley B@5tards we'll keep the blue flag flying high forever n ever ....................... Quote

T4E Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 Isnt it - he asked me to pay? And isnt it "will we play"? "Till we play" doesnt make sense.... Quote
Kiwiwannabe Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 And it is "there's an alehouse in Burnley", not pub down in. Apart from that - spot on mate! Quote
stuwilky Posted February 29, 2004 Posted February 29, 2004 Isnt it - he asked me to pay? And its it "will we play"? "Till we play" doesnt make sense.... Has that ever bothered football chanters before.... see earlier in this thread.. "Kinky Knees Blue and White Army" Quote
