i need help

when i was in england last year i went and watched rovers beat fulham 4-0 (at loftus road) beat tottenham 4-0 (at whiteheart) and beat leads 3-2 (at elland road). not a bad record.

anyway, i want to know the words to one of the songs that was sung because i always hum the tune and it reminds me of good times.

i cant help you much except to say that everyone stood up with their hands wide apart and in the air ... the words that i remember were

"annnnd theres oneeeee rovers [clap clap clap]

.....

and we hate those burnley @#/?s"

but thats all i can tell you. so i hope one of you guys or gals will help this poor aussie out.

Correct.

"We`re Blackburn Rovers,

we follow our team,

we`re Blackburn Rovers, we are surpreme,

we`ll never be mastered by Burnley B£$%^&*$,

we`ll keep the Blue flag flying high!"

By the way, shouldn`t this be in the songs section?

Everytime i see Rovers play, i always find the following song really hard to sing along to due to my accent.

"Souness's Blue and White Army"

Being a Southerner, to me it sounds like:

"Souness's Blight Army"

and if i ever try to sing it, im saying Blue and White army, yet everyone else has already finished the song as they say it faster than me.

We're affected by hearing outdoor newspaper sellers Tim, try practising with..

"Heavnin..tlgrf" Evening Telegraph

"Mlakmurr...tam" Blackburn Times (for the benefit of younger listers)

Reminds me of...

"King Kenny's Blue & White Army"

Which sounded like...

"Kinky Knees Blue & White Army" apparently - probably 'cause it does.

"Forever and ever, we'll follow our team...."

Saying it with an Aussie accent never helps either!   :D
