Alan75 Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Rovers reserves tonight came back from 2-1 down to gain a share of the points, against Manchester United, at Christie Park, Morecambe, when Steven Reid scored 10 minutes before the final whistle. Rovers took the lead in the 25th minute when pressure by Byrom, caused United's Spector to deflect the ball past his own keeper. half time 1-0. United with two quick goals, by Jones and Pool looked as if they would collect maximum points untill Reid fired home an equaliser after fine work by Johnson. Jansen and his striking partner Gallagher were often threatening the United goal, and Reid appeared to be gaining in confidence with additional match practice since his injury, and Johnson was a handfull for the United defence throughout the game. Attendance 1447.
