The Lancashire Evening Telegraph are reporting that Rovers hope to negociate a pre season friendly with Sporting Lisbon at Ewood on Wednesday 4th August as a curtain raiser to the 2004-05 season.

This follows the news that Rovers will start their pre season with a number of games in Germany.

Blackburn's Chief executive John Williams has told the LET: "It's not confirmed but we are working on it and we've exchanged conversation with Sporting Lisbon, so it's a strong possibility.
