sumps Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 When was Cole sold? Was it before Souness was meant to have contacted other clubs, August 8th if I remember right? If this is true and Cole was sold after this, then I see it as a mistake on the clubs behalf and should have stopped Souness letting players leave the club and bringing more players in.

Modi Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 When was Cole sold? Was it before Souness was meant to have contacted other clubs, August 8th if I remember right? If this is true and Cole was sold after this, then I see it as a mistake on the clubs behalf and should have stopped Souness letting players leave the club and bringing more players in. Eh? You suggesting Souey was trying to organise a move away from the club for himself in advance of Newcastle getting their (5th choice) man? Or am I missing something?
sumps Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 No. I meant that if the club new that Souness was talking to other clubs, then he was obviously looking to move on. Therefore they should have not let Souness bring in and definatly should not have let him sell players like Cole.
Modi Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 So... according to that ("the club new [sic] that Souness was talking to other clubs") he was organising a move away from the club? Where does this information come from?
sumps Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 I'm not saying it was true, I read it on here around the time Souness went, can't remember who said it. All I'm saying is that if it was true then the club have made a mistake.
SAS Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 How we need cole now, souness did a really bad decision releasing him to fulham. Hes scored 3or 4 for them already.
roversmum Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 As he did for us when he came. He'll soon be back to his old self, don't worry. Wait until the wife starts laying down the law about something. Didn't you just love the fight yesterday?
philipl Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Looks like Andy Cole will hve plenty of time for shopping with the wife. He is facing charges which will add up to an eight match ban. Plus Fulham face a £100K fine for not controlling their players.
Tris Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Looks like Andy Cole will hve plenty of time for shopping with the wife. He is facing charges which will add up to an eight match ban Be fair on him philip It's coming up to the time of year for his post red card annual skive to Dubai You know, the one where he shows how bothered he is about his team mates and the club who pay his wages
BRFC4EVA Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Cole is elected to Blackburn Hall of Fame Absolute classic!!
92er Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 According to the Daily Telegraph today Andy Cole has had his 3-match suspension reduced to 1 after an appeal-he has already served the 3-game ban for his dismissal, but the FA's appeal body has reduced the extra ban by withdrawing the ban for violent conduct and halving the suspension for abusing a match official.
John Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) "He hits the ball and scores a goal" After about 5 chances Edited June 30, 2005 by John
Flopsy Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Who says hes signed then? other than the mirror of course
greggyk Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) Its Cole, its Cole, Andy Andy Cole-he gets the ball and does fu9k all, Andy Andy Cole, He done well for us but there really is no need for a 34 year old past it striker. He was total balls in the 2nd part of the season for Fulham. A step back IF he signs Edited June 30, 2005 by greggyk
John Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Cole was injured for the 2nd half of last season. Can't believe he is coming back! Sparky obiously can't be bothered to look around for other potential acquistions...
greggyk Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 (edited) Not for 5 months John!! Now, if Hughes thinks Kuqi and Cole will solve our goalscoring problems, he really needs to think again. We still have maybe the worst set of strikers in the league(apart from West Ham and Sunderland) Edited June 30, 2005 by greggyk
Flopsy Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 to be fair to Mr Cole - if Shearer's still going at his present age of 80 im sure Cole can get another couple of years out of him. Its not as if he ever tires himself out on the pitch
greggyk Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Shearer got 7 league goals last season. He's sadly also past it
Martin Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Shearer got 7 league goals last season. He's sadly also past it 328225[/snapback] That's rubbish, He's not as quick as he used to be. But he'd walk into any team outside the top 4. He's still a class act. I think it's harsh to say he's past it. He won't allow himself to be past it, he'll retire before that happens.

SouthAussieRover Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 If we resign him I'm gonna take up supporting West Ham full time followed by Chelsea part time.
