You're right Tango. I can only presume that I was wrong and Tom actually was guessing where everyone will finish this season. Which really is ridiculous. I mean there's just no way Arsenal are going to win it.

You're absolutely right Tango... everyone knows that Chrystal Palace comes behind Charlton and Chelsea alphabetically.

The sad part is that given the current unpredictability of the Premiership, Pringle's table will probably be closest out of anyone's come the end of the year.

My theory about Liverpool is that Houllier gone is worth at least 20 more points. Probably will be wrong, but I have a feeling... I think United is a couple injuries away from an off season, and the couple injuries seem to be coming.

Then again, I'm sure I'm wrong about everything.

I think we will do better than last year, but I cant see us being more than a mid-table team not even pushing for a european place.

My Prediction = 11th

With Viera seemingly (eventually) destined for Real Madrid I'll have to back Chelsea. Even with Viera I'd probably still lean for Chelsea- two quality players (at least) in every position. Not only that but they'll be likely to strengthen the squad during the transfer window (as they did last season) for the final push. Arsenal to be quite close as even without Viera they are still a great side. Then Liverpool and Man U. I'm not sure what it is about United but for the past three seasons they just haven't looked the same. Even when they won the league they didn't manage it in quite the usual swaggering, arrogant, sweeping aside all like they used to.

The team I'll go for to improve is Middlesbrough. They've been threatening a decent season for years but with Parlour, Viduka, Reiziger and Hasselbaink coming in they are far better team than last year. They already had a great defence and the likes of Mendieta and Zenden should make sure of another Uefa Cup spot. Newcastle....lucky to be I think as all is not well between Robson and Shepherd. Milner, Butt and Kluivert are their main signings. Milner is still a kid, Butt is good but nothing spectacular and there's a reason why only Newcastle wanted Kluivert who is incredibly overhyped. The next Shearer he is not.

Rovers - mid-table. Which is damn sight better than last year. The FA Cup is probably beyond us (no team outside those that finished in the top four last season have won it since 1995 - Arsenal three times, United three times, Chelsea twice and Liverpool once) so the most important cup for us has to be the League Cup. It's the only one we can really hope to win. Cardiff 2005? We can but dream.

Well here goes might as well make a fool of myself.

Never write off United, but it will be a close run contest with Arsenal.

With both Liverpool and Chelsea having new managers, neither with Premier or even English League experience it could be the season for the Geordies to get some sort of respectability.

Even with the big transfer expenditure by Boro and Birmingham I think their in the same pack as Rovers and could finish anywhere between 6th and 15th. The suprise team could be West Brom if they've learnt their lesson from last time.

For the drop, any of the bottom 6 shown, board room wrangles are catching up with Everton and I fear for Coleman at Fulham, most of his buy's appear to be pick pocketting other managers ground work.

Everton will be Rooney-less come Jan and I think that the self destruct timer is ticking. The Canaries / Eagles just do not have enough quality but Mr Megson has spent wisely as well as persuading Koumas to stay.

These 4 to be well adrift of a large scrum which will include Rovers, top 3 to be 10 points clear at the end of the season with Chelsea just pipping Arsenal.
