RoverDrake Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Great decision to play Flitcroft, hopefully the new manager will see sense and offload him. I know any unlucky bugger can score an own goal but he shouldn't be in the side anyway.

grizfoot Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Sounds like the barcodes are all over us
G Somerset Rover Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Were getting mauled apparently. Roll on to appointing a new gaffer! Seriously thought whoever it is will have one hell of a job, I honestly think we'll have a dogfight on our hands!!!
joey_big_nose Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Sounding a little better now. A couple of Rovers corners and a couple of decent strikes.
sumps Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Maybe Souness has given Newcastle 'tips' on how to beat us?
G Somerset Rover Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 (edited) Yeah "run at their defence and their buggered". Edited September 11, 2004 by Somerset Rover!
modes98 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Maybe Souness has given Newcastle 'tips' on how to beat us? Give the ball to there defense and they'll do the rest? We are still in this game, had very good spells, but can't complain with the magic footy newcastle have been playing.
roversmum Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 The commentators have reported Flitcfort missing during the first half, except of course for scoring an own goal and getting a yellow card. Why is this waster playing? Now Jon Douglas is playing. Stuff of nightmares. GGGGGGGRRRRRRR! Well, Souness is having the last laugh. It's his team, barring Flitcroft who is mostly missing anyway. I'm going off to hurl crockery at the kitchen wall. If the cats have got any sense they'll be off out of the house for now instead of mythering around their food bowls. Burnley are winning too; and Swindon Town are losing. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
grizfoot Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Douglas is better then Flitcroft IMO. MGP as gone of apperantley he's injured and dougie is on. Bring on TUGAY !!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 No positive responce from Rovers players, bring on the new manager...... AND QUICK!!!!!!!
vindaloobob Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Maybe Souness has given Newcastle 'tips' on how to beat us? i am sure he has, however, since he didn't have much of a clue how to make us beat WBA at home, i can't attribute newcastle's lead to the souness touch.
modes98 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 thats 2points from 5 games! Sack the manag...... Bring in Hughesy!!!!!! Mark Hughes' Blue & White Army!
modes98 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Defense go walk about....normal service resumed!! 3-0 1 of o'brien, ameobi or short scored it! Now we have to beat pompey!
Rovermatt Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Utterly disastrous, but are we surprised? Dog fight here we come.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 (edited) New manager has REALLY got his work cut out with this lot. DIRE. Edited September 11, 2004 by SIMON GARNERS 194
ace Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 What a shambles...Fantastic collection of players you have left us with, Mr Souness!
Morph Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Is it too early to start the "Parkes out" campaign? Never really expected to win today but had hoped we might put up more of a fight than we did (from the sound of things). Just underscores the need to make the right appointment, and to make it soon.
1864roverite Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Instead of being at the match I am sat at home recovering after a car crash, earlier on I seriously thought that we could get a positive result today. I listen to the summarisers on the R Lancs show and I cannot take anything positive whatsoever. Why has TP not replaced Flitcroft with Tugay when quite clearly he is not up for it ? Why have we continued to defend like nancy boys ? When will we ever pick up the idea that football is about defedning and not just attacking ? When will the whole football team realise that if you back off you get punished ? By the sounds of it Robert the frog, dyer the monaer and Bowyer the brat have all had field days as not ONE challenge has been made. I cannot wait to read the match summaries of our members who were actually at the game. we are now having to win that match against Pompy who will no doubt come to Ewood thinking that they can get a result. It is going to be a long hard end to the year and Rovers really need to buck up. as for NUFC, well good luck to them I cant see Souness doing anything but stripping the club and running it down. Here at Ewood the manager needs appointing SOON to stop the losing run. The fans need to play their part next week.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 (edited) S.O.S!........Come on down Mark Hughes.......PLEASE! Edited September 11, 2004 by SIMON GARNERS 194
modes98 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 bolton 2-1 manyoo! (no doubt they'l score in the 105min ) We didn't stand much of a chance today, doesn't make it any better to lose though. Win against pompey or bournemouth to kick off our season

SouthAussieRover Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Very worried. Just listened to the commentary and would have thought the players would be out to impress the new manager whoever it may be. Just a bit of effort like fighting for every 50/50 etc but it just seemed like a totally half hearted lame display. Perhaps the players know who the new manager is and want out? I fear the worst for this season
Blue and White Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Horrific start to the season. the new manager is gonna have to work wonders to save us.
greggyk Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 We need to patch the defense. Read my sig for the answer to that
