cravenblue Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 supposedly megson is on the brink of quitting west brom ,according to sky sports. he's done quite well on a tight budget. might be good for us. no doubt i may be i a very small minority here, maybe even a minority of one!

Martin Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I am becoming less and less enthused about Hughes taking over especially if he brings Robson with him. I am however warming to the idea of Dowie taking over. He has an eye for detail, something I fell Souness completely fell flat on. By now they must have identified their number one target, yet there seems to be no movement. With the time it is talking that would seem to indicate the target is in work, yet nobody (Wales or Palace) have confirmed any interest. I am getting restless.
Alan75 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 No way Megson, he has an ego complex, and has fallen out with nearly every one at west brom.
key76 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Totally agree Alan, why would we want someone on the brink of being sacked by West Brom, who has no backing from his players who taunt him on the team bus!!! Taxi for Megson
cravenblue Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 mmm didnt read that before i posted, i take back my last post, i dont want him now. god i'm fickle

Jim J Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Please dont do that to me T4E, I'm on edge as it is.
John Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 The link got me going as well until I saw the source being The Sun as I read it already. This waiting game is so boring....
MCMC1875 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Its like waiting for season tickets, replica shirts, etc, etc........
G Somerset Rover Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I have a feeling that the new boss will be someone whom we haven't mentioned, or perhaps someone weve mentioned briefly. Surely if it was one of the front-runners that weve interviewed etc, then some sort of news would've leaked out. It could be a relatively unknown gaffer, maybe even a non-Brit?
1864roverite Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 JHC its bad enough the team not talking to each other never mind emploing someone who does not understand English !
Nayef Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Iain Dowie our manager..?! Please please please please please... NO

MCMC1875 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Iain Dowie our manager..?! Please please please please please... NO YES No nay never!
baxendenblue Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I have a friend who lives in Birmingham - he is a city fan but he rang me last night to tell me to get some money on Megson! Apparently all the talk down there is that he is coming this week
rover6 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 JW says the manager will be appointed after the Pompey match - which leads me to believe that the board are still deliberating over the shortlist. The papers are playing the same guessing game we are.
cravenblue Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 where does JW say that the man will be appointed after saturdays match
bellamy11 Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Hughesy's thread lasted for about 2.5min, which has to be a new MB record.. This message board is bullsh!t. I posted a topic about who we are close to appointing. Not about we 'want as our new manager'. Little choice have we if the board have already decided. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out then. Bye!
Ricky Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 If you don't like it i'm sure you can find somewhere else to play. I'm sure we'll all miss your contacts and breaking news!!!!
1864roverite Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 JHC the guy was only giving us some information dont be too harsh
1864roverite Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 perhaps its a good thing I have a wife then (she does it to me !) Maybe it was just the excitment
