Tango Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Common Rovers fans lets try and push that up to 20k!! Does that mean 'posh' ones like Cheshire Blue can't go?
Ben-2000 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 (edited) There should be quite a few people (like myself) who will buy tickets tonight just before the game, that should push the gate up another thousand or so... Edited October 8, 2004 by Ben-2000
Ben-2000 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 The game has little interest to most fans. It was near full a year or 2 ago when the U21's were last at Ewood.
Hughesy Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 The game has little interest to most fans. It was near full a year or 2 ago when the U21's were last at Ewood. We struggle to get over 20k for our games at the moment. 2 years ago we finished 6th. Do you really think people are going to pay to watch the u-21's?
Dan Furness Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I would much rather be spending my cash in the pub tonight too
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Yes, obviously people will pay for the previlege of having an England U21 game at Ewood....stop being so bloody miserable ffs!!
den Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 It's not just for the people of Blackburn to turn out, is it! It's for anyone in lancashire to support an England side.
Dan Furness Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 why would i possibly go out my way to watch england u21s?
Ossyrob Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 why would i possibly go out my way to watch england u21s? You dont even go out of your way to watch Rovers.
Dan Furness Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 why would i possibly go out my way to watch england u21s? You dont even go out of your way to watch Rovers. ouch below the belt!
Ben-2000 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 It's not just for the people of Blackburn to turn out, is it! It's for anyone in lancashire to support an England side. EXACTLY!
roversmum Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 (edited) why would i possibly go out my way to watch england u21s? Because it's an England International Game Because you can talent spot the up and coming England Squad Because we want to show off Ewood Because it's a special occasion Because our Jon Stead is playing Because you can Just Because Still, why would we possibly want miserable (thinking of rude word but won't say it) people there? I'm going, and I intend to enjoy it! Come on England, and Jon Stead! Edited October 8, 2004 by roversmum
MCMC1875 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Are the bars open or is it like those crappy UEFA games when you have to remember to take a large hip flask? Lack of information about this could easily depress the gate by several thousand on a Friday night.

It's a Friday night, I might have gone on a Saturday but that's life
Paul Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I would much rather be spending my cash in the pub tonight too Shouldn't that be the TSB's cash?

It's a Friday night, I might have gone on a Saturday but that's life You would have missed England V Wales to go and watch tonights game if it were being played tomorrow? Fair enough, your choice I guess.
Dan Furness Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Amen brother Show off Ewood? no thanks I think a half-full Ewood doesnt really need parading on tv do you. Spot up and coming talent? oh sorry I aint heard of Cole etc... Stead playing? Yeah he plays at Ewood a lot, funny that
MCMC1875 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I would much rather be spending my cash in the pub tonight too Shouldn't that be the TSB's cash? Exactly! See - he's been corrupted already.

Fair enough, your choice I guess. Did I say if the game was tomorrow? I've never been to an under-21's game purely on the basis that I've got better things to do on a Friday night. You can see from the crowd that they're full of kids and parents with horns and whistles anyway, no thanks.
Ossydave Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 SteB won't be there anyway, he'll be propping up the bar in the cross tonight surely?
Dan Furness Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 SteB won't be there anyway, he'll be propping up the bar in the cross tonight surely? no thats what IM doing, Ste will be at the game but no doubt in the cross for last orders
