frosty Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 A Villa fan's view. Skysports have tipped a Rovers' 1-0 win. Villa fans aren't the best at spelling are they. Not to say I am....................
RoyRover Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 I'm very confident that we can win tomorrow, but I said the same thing on Monday. I don't think that we should start with Djorkaeff, but Hughes has said that he will feature, which will be good. 3-1 to Rovers.
McClarky Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Whats the story with Todd now? Is he injured or is he not in the squad becausae he has not played. I would play Todd and Matteo as centre backs myself. We could perhaps go with 3 in midfield and Djorkaeff behind the front 2 if he's fit to start. We could really do with getting Thommo back as he adds a bit of energy to midfield. COME ON YOU BLUES! make it worth getting up at 6 am please.
92er Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 I thought the Villa fan did a reasonable summing up. And Burnley based their colours on Villa's.
cuidado Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 This norwegian website states quite "unofficially" that Jansen has got Hughes faith and will start on LW, and Youri will be on the bench. Is this just speculation, or?
cuidado Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 http://fotball.bladet-tromso.no/nyhetsarki...articleID=68290 is the url btw
92er Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 The only thing we "know" is that Youri will have some involvement.
mrsjansen Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 One-one win for Rovers. Hope Gally can a get a game, Think he`s the future. ???????????????
Lathund Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Canal + are showing the game tonight at 8:10 CET (7:10 GMT), and before that I'll be watching Soton-Man C, Everton-Spurs (Or Arsenal-Charlton) and WBA-Bolton. Really too much football... and then later on there's Chievo-Lecce and Norwich-Pompey. Christ... I won't have time for anything else! I'd advise anyone not living close enough to any Premiership grounds to somehow get C+, if you love football it's really, really great. Porn every day as well, if that's your thing Anyway, I probably won't be able to avoid the result but I will be avoiding the reviews from people on here so I can post my own later on.
mattyc2422 Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Not overly confident this week. Hope we can draw out a point or three .
Tango Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 (edited) Knowing us we'll either lose, or play a blinder, and lose. Edited October 2, 2004 by Tango
mrsjansen Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I think we will win............or draw..............or lose. 3-0 Stead hat trick.
krislu Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 (edited) Friedel, Neill, Amoruso, Matteo, Gray, Emerton, Ferguson, Tugay, Jansen, Dickov, Djorkaeff. Subs: Enckelman, Flitcroft, Johansson, Stead, Bothroyd. Jansen is NOT a left winger and where is MGP? Djorkaeff starting.. I do not like this! Edited October 2, 2004 by krislu
Lathund Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Djorkaeff should play on the left, with Jansen upfront IMO. Djorkaeff can play in most attacking positions, while Jansen is a striker.
Oklahoma Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 HOpe Djorkaeff is fit enough to start. Glad to see Jansen get another chance. 2-1 for us. Jansen and Djorkaeff.
Maverick Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Think I rather had MGP on instead of Jansen. He was not good on monday. Hope Tugay will do better, maybe keep the ball more in the team and make some passes for a change. I go for a 1-1 draw.

Robert1 Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Live commentary of the game is on Five Live Sports Extra on Sky channel 894, Freeview, Digital Radio and I think also from the BBC website.

krislu Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 (edited) Why isnt MGP in the squad, and we have two strikers on the bench, stupid! Btw, Villa are the better side in the opening 15min.. Edited October 2, 2004 by krislu
