Birmingham City are keen to a snap up Blackburn Rovers keeper Aynsley Pears for next season.
Pears played for Tony Mowbray and Mark Venus at Rovers and his dad was a team mate of the Blues chief in their playing days.
Both John Ruddy and Neal Etheridge are out of contract and a couple of replacements may be needed.
Pears is back from injury and in the Blackburn side but could be sold if the right offer comes in.

Blackburn Rovers are looking at Jacob Fowler - the son of Liverpool legend Robbie.
Fowler junior is with Oxford United but has join joined the highly-rated Rovers youth side.
The son of the players known as God is an attacking midfielder and has previously been on trial at Rangers.
