  1. Why don't you flick through the Sky EPG after 400 and find out. EDIT - 410 on sky - according to Wikipedia 521 on ntl They probably haven't updated the EPG as yet. It looks like this announcement was only made about an hour ago on the web site.
  2. That would actually make more sense. Maybe it's just that I think everyones out to get us!
  3. I heard that too. Couldn't believe it, cheeky gits. Funny thing was that I thought they are actually quite a physical team as well.
  4. Looks like it's on MegaSport on 4West as well now. Can anyone get Ukrainian satellite? Didn't think so.
  5. For user experience of Sky Broadband, check out these two forums:- Digital Spy - Sy Broadband ADSLGuide - Sky Broadband
  6. You should be able to find the scart lead in Game, HMV, Virgin etc, anywhere that sells 360's. My local Asda had them the other day. I think they cost about £17.99 but the quality difference over composite is most definately worth it. There are also lots of 3rd party cables like this one at Amazon for only £10. Pay the extra for quick delivery if you can't get to the shops. Of course your TV has to be able to take RGB scarts for it to be worth it. Cheap 14" TV's might not be RGB ready, they will still take the scart but will not have the better picture quality. As for Dead Rising, I am still playing it but it does get very repetative. It loads all the time and you either have to go to the bathroom every 10 seconds to save or restart from the beginning when you die. The advantage of going back to the beginning is that you keep all your skill ups and stats which makes the beginning bits alot easier. You still have to see the same boring cut scenes though. I'm currently playing Test Drive unlimited which is brilliant even though I'm not into racing games. Driving round the island looks stunning. Shame that's all I do as I lose every race I'm in!
  7. You've actually got the same problem within BT as you would with any 3rd party supplier. Internally, the departments are all split up so BT Wholesale, BT Retail and the BT Broadband areas are all run as different groups. BT are regluated by OFCOM and stop BT Broadband having any advantages over other ISP's. Therefore you can still get the two groups blaming each other. Aside from that, we have many BT Business Broadband lines at work and the service is excellent. Not a single problem and they all work at top speed (8mb).
  8. The only problem I have with this package is that the "unlimited" download is subject to a Fair Usage Policy which they haven't as yet published. A good place to look for other users comments is always ADSLGuide I'm going to wait and see what happens with Sky's offering. If too many people jump to Sky due to the great prices then the whole service will probably suffer.
  9. Some games are region free but most are region locked. EA games definately can't be used in the wrong regions. Dead Rising (Capcom) is the same. Other games like Perfect Dark, Quake 4 and others were region free. There used to be a list on Wiki which had an up to date list of which games worked where but that seems to have gone. Just found another up to date list HERE Even the firmware hacks don't get around the region coding so I wouldn't take the risk unless you find out for sure that the game you want isn't region locked. P.S. Dead Rising gets really quite boring. Using new weapons on zombies is quite interesting for 30 seconds then that soon wears off. Also, rescuing people is nearly impossible as they just stand around getting eaten by a hoard of Zombies while you're trying to get them to run away. Very frustrating.
  10. Has anybody seen / posted whether our game has been picked up by any broadcasters as yet? I have seen that Five are showing Newcastle and Spurs, ITV4 has West Ham and BBC1 Scotland are showing Rangers. Have we been forgotten about again or is this being shown somewhere?
  11. Strange reply from the BBC as this game was released as an FA Cup special on DVD. There are 2 versions available. The first Here is the final video only with one left at Amazon for £7.99 The second Here is £12.99 and has a replica programme with it. I doubt there is any interview footage though but for £7.99 it might be worth getting to check.
  12. Funnily enough the xbox version is very easy to play and strangely also has a dual shock type controller so no real difference there. I can see where you are coming from in the machine it was primarily developed for part though. That is my biggest fear for the 360 version of PES 6, it will undoubtedly be developed for the PS2 and converted to the 360. I suppose we just have to wait and see what they churn out. Again though for your comments on waiting to see what they do for the PS3, you'll be waiting until October next year unless you get a chipped or Japan imported console. Even then it will be a different version so I suppose we'll never know what they had in mind for PES6.
  13. Read it again. PES 6 is only a "next gen" exclusive for a year. It says, quite rightly, that Konami were putting the record straight as some websites were reporting that is was a 360 exclusive and not a "next gen" exclusive. Therefore they were stating that it is coming out on PC, PS2, PSP etc etc etc. It goes on to state that development has started on the next version (aka PES 7) which will be Winning Eleven released in Japan spring / summer next year with a PES 7 release October next year. Thus 12 months next gen exclusive on next gen consoles.
  14. How? Where is that coming from? If it does then it makes a mockery of Microsoft's 1 year exclusivity to PES. Unless Konami get around it by releasing it as Winning Eleven across the globe. PES 5 was released on all consoles at the same time so there was no "lead". Why would they have done this with the PS3? As you've said, it's not out but they do have development consoles and they could have released as a launch title in December. Instead they chose to sign an exclusivity deal with Microsoft. I agree on the whole to the look of PES6. I said in another thread on here that I was more than underwhelmed by the video footage shown on the web. However, it still looks of the same essence as all the PES releases and I can't see it being any worse than the PS2 version.
  15. The lawn mower is now my favourite weapon but I am getting very bored having to go back to the last save point each time I die.
  16. XBOX 360, PS3 and Wii are all classed as the "Next Gen" consoles therefore Pro Evo will not be released until at least October 2007 on PS3 and Wii.
  17. I'm not actually saying the ref had an overly good game, more that I'm not blaming him for us losing. I agree about Roberts, but with the referee unsighted, going down might have actually got him something( or a booking!)
  18. Just aquired the full version of Dead Rising and the short time I've played it, it's quite enjoyable. The problem so far is that I had it on for 30mins and only actually played for about 5 of those. There are constant loading of cut scenes and pointless bits that really slow everything down. Hopefully this will improve and the game will get better.
  19. I don't blame the ref at all today. It was a blatant penalty for the first Chelsea goal and Drogbas was and excellent goal. Both defended poorly. Yes, we should have had a penalty for the shirt tugging but a) Roberts didn't go down and B ) the replays show that Makelele I think it was, blocked the refs view of it. And why is that one decision the refs fault that we lost the game?
  20. Not too sure what to make of that game. On the one hand, I'm pleased that we palyed well enough against Chelsea and they really didn't look like troubling us. On the other I'm really, really annoyed that we didn't make more of this opportunity. Chelsea were well below par yet we still didn't look like troubling them up front. Most had good games today I feel. Emerton was excellent at right back and deserved his MOTM award. Reid was anonymous and Gamst didn't even bother turning up. Also, Roberts seemed completely out of his depth up front. Didn't see him for most of the match. It's a shame for Ooijer, it can't be easy being thrown into a game against Chelsea with no prior Premiership football behind you. He was quite poor today but hopefully he'll come good with a few games under his belt. Not too disheartened but it could have been so much better.
  21. also, if you look at the official EA Fifa 07 site link you can see logo's for every single platform except PS3. --> QUOTE(ste b @ Aug 24 2006, 10:23 ) 438320[/snapback] I'm not sure its that much of a surprise tbqh, more taking some easy money before releasing PES7 for them when both consoles actually have some potential sales. Kind of what I meant by them deciding to sign with Microsoft. In their eyes, why not if PS3 is not going to be readily available and they can cut down on development costs whilst making money from MS at the same time. I'm just amazed that Sony are letting this happen. They will have no major football titles until at least this time next year (** expect to see "Fifa: road to the next money spinner" released on PS3 as a stop gap in the new year)
  22. That is shocking news for the PS3. I know it's hardly going to dent the amount of people who buy it but that's a bit of a kick in the teeth for Sony. Very suprised at EA though. They usually don't care about exclusivity as they are all about sales and they know Fifa sells. I wonder if they have been having development problems (like with Smackdown Vs Raw) and decided it was better to sign with MS rather than slip a date-able game into 2007.
  23. I think the gameplay looks smoother but the graphics (when zoomed in) don't look overly inspiring for what is meant to be next gen. Is there a date for the PS3 version yet?
  24. Seriously, how does that look any better than previous versions? Especially from footage taken from a unsteady person on a camcorder who keeps zooming in and out.
