  1. Doesn't look anything special to me. Might as well stick to the PS2 version.
  2. Hadn't noticed that as I play in HD. I think Capcom's suggestion is a very good one
  3. Played it again yesterday and found the sword. Now that is a nice weapon. The frying pan is cool and the sub machine gun does the business. I also liked the fact you can put the toy heads on the zombies which confuses them. I hope there is enough of this variation to keep the game interesting. And why oh why have the US got this already and we have to wait another 3 weeks?
  4. OK, just tried Dead Rising and it reminds me a lot of "State of Emergency" which was an awful game. i hope there's a bit more to it than just hacking zombies around a mall. Still I enjoyed it for the 30 minutes I played it. Might give it a try.
  5. Thanks for reminding me to download the Dead Rising demo, I had completely forgotten about it. I like the look of Bomberman Act:Zero, especially with the online play. The trailer for Lego Star Wars 2 looks cool as well. Just finsihing the download of Pac Man and then the 1gb of Dead Rising can kick off.
  6. Thank god Paul Daniels never learnt that trick! Anyway, from the people who gave us the London Underground skit a year or so back, here is their variation on the Sheila's Wheels advert (warning, swearing)
  7. It depends if your xbox is near your internet router. If it is, just connect an ethernet cable between the two. That's how mine is hooked up.
  8. This has being doing the rounds for years and its rubbish. It does work however the box works on credit. It still knows it hasn't dialled up properly (the battery etc just make it thinks the lines busy) therefore when it gets to about £40 it stops giving you events and tells you to clear your phone line. when you do, all the past PPV events are downloaded to Sky and you are charged. Don't bother. eh?
  9. Of course it is going to find lots of problems, that's how they make money. This is all you need. Probably cheaper than paying MightyMax as well.
  10. I said on the first page that I didn't think it was an overheating problem (it would have been crashing more than just primarily in FM) and after you posted the BSOD code if definately looks more like an XP problem. The description from Microsoft for the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL states that there is probably a device driver that has caused the crash. This means that something has been installed that isn't 100% compatible with XP and thus causing problems. The strange thing with your error, as I mentioned earlier is that the stop error states that it's parvdm.sys that has errored. This is actually a Microsoft XP driver and therefore should be ok. It might be that something else has affected it or it has been infected by a virus. Probably the easiest way to recover from this now is to re-install the computer from scratch. Have you had a rebuild on one of your many trips to the computer shop? Or live with the crashes!
  11. Personally I hope Ronaldo gets treated the same as Beckham and he gets hounded out of England. The dirty little cheat.
  12. Thank god Eriksson's gone. Let's look to the future. I had a feeling Lampard would miss as he has seemed nervous in front of goal all tournament. I was very suprised at Gerrard though.
  13. I don't reckon it's a heat problem. This is what Microsoft say about your error:- "Stop message 0x000000D1 Descriptive text: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Usual cause: An attempt was made to touch pageable memory at a process internal request level (IRQL) that was too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses. Kernel-mode drivers are forbidden to access pageable memory at a high IRQL." The funny thing is that the driver that you mention in your error report is actually a Microsoft signed driver! It may have become corrupt at some time. Have you had your computer rebuilt recently? Might be worth it in the first instance.
  14. It works pretty well when the play is zoomed in on a person but you can't make anything out when it's showing the overall pitch. A fantastic piece of coding though.
  15. Eddie, Not sure about the answer to that question as TV's will differ in what they report and I personally use the component cables rather than VGA. It could be that the digital HDMI socket is detecting the Analogue VGA signal and therefore reporting that a PC is connected (as that would be the norm for VGA). As long as you have the 360 set to 1080i or 720p in the dashboard and the TV is reporting the same signal (usually an info button gives this on screen) then you are getting the correct display from the xbox. If your TV reports 576p then it is downscaling the signal back to an Standard Definition picture. I don't think it will be doing that as PC's can output HD resolutions quite happily so the TV should just be accepting the signal.
  16. HDMI is just a connection. It's the HDCP encryption that everyone has a problem with.
  17. Eddie, There are two types of cable for the xbox360 which will provide HD outputs. The first one is the component cable, which is the red, green and blue composite connections. This cable is the one that comes with the Premium pack and most HDTV have this type of input. The second type is a VGA Cable which again some HDTV's have but it also alows you to connect to a standard computer monitor. Now, if you've only got a DVI input on your TV, I think your best bet is to get the VGA cable and buy a VGA-DVI adaptor. Why the 360 doesn't support HDMI is anybody's guess.
  18. And what's up with the official site? An hour later and the headline item is still "Fixtures at 10am"!
  19. Portsmouth away is a cracking start of the season for me.
  20. Nope, you need TV license for ANY device that can recieve broadcast material. That includes Satellite boxes, PC's (with TV cards), Videos, PVR's. The only time you can get away without a license (for your premises) is if you are using a battery operated TV and even then you must be covered by someone else's like your parents. see Here
  21. And it's one of those USB digital recievers that I am using to pick up the BBC and ITV HD trials from the Crystal Palace transmitter. Not bad for a £20 gadget (granted you need a £2000 PC to be able to decode the picture!)
  22. I know, It's just funny the way they think they can apply the licenceing laws to everything.
