Got to say I wasn't too keen when I heard Hanley being mentioned but for the type of defender we need, considering our budget... He's probably the best we could do.

I agree, I'm just saying once we make a few decent signing people won't care. For what it's worth I think we need a keeper, centre half, left back, centre mid and forward.

Pretty sure no one will care about Bauer once we make a couple of promising signings.

Personally couldn't really care less about Bauer. He's obviously had assurances that he's going to be a starter there, as long as we bring in someone of proven Championship quality then I don't think we can complain. I think Hanley will end up back here. Just a hunch.

2 ways of looking at that, we know Hanley can perform at this level, Bauer could be turd and then stuck on the wage bill.

These are his exact words to a fan that I know on here. Choose not to believe it if you wish.

Because he's now a free his agent expected us to pay him 40 - 50k a week because there's no fee... Mowbray's words. 50k a week for some league 1 centre half, who's 26 and never played in the championship. Him and his agent are a set of p*ss takers. For me, he can jog on. I know the game, his agent will be trying to get him the best deal but that is just sheer greed.

I agree they've got a better manager but last time they went up against us for a player they failed (Armstrong).

Can't say I'd be too arsed, a league 1 centre half with no Championship experience and by all accounts is a greedy bastard. We could and should be looking to do better.

I don't doubt. Prixon seems to think it could be a goer though.
