Dropping Benno? You'd give Tony a heart attack. -

“I know the run we’ve been on is frustrating and disappointing, but to go to Aston Villa and perform how we did for long spells was a good statement. Particularly after that last 25 minutes, we have to believe we can compete with anyone in the division." Erm.... You mean when Joe Rothwell was on the pitch? You mean when we actually had to go out and attack a team we looked good. How about maybe starting a game like that Tony? The bloke is beyond frustrating these days, I really don't understand his thinking on most things anymore and I'm not sure he even knows either... -
The mysterious case of Joe Rothwell.

I don't think I am, I'm simply saying what I'm seeing. I'd agree that he needs to add goals but goals will only come of he actually gets minutes on the pitch. -

Completely disagree, every time he plays he brings the best out of Dack allowing him to be free'd up, we play through the midfield instead of missing it out, he completely changes the way play. He's the type of player you build a midfield around. To call him a squad player in the same way as garbage such as Smallwood, Bennett, Williams is bloody mental. He's by a long way the best technical footballer we have at the club. Yes, at times he's seemingly tried to hard but who can blame him for trying to make an impression? I've watched him on numerous occasions create more in 15 minute appearances than most of the useless trash we have wandering around on a pitch. It's a complete farce how the manager has handled this one and just demonstrates an alarming ability to see obvious talent, especially as he coaches him every day. -
Looking at the bigger picture I completely agree but many managers have been to blame for not getting the best out of what they have at Rovers, Bowyer being one and now Mowbray.

Wish this poll said "realistically" because as much as I'd want Jokanovic, I don't think he would come to Ewood. I think with Hughes stock being so low that is probably the best and most realistic choice so far.

That's not a good enough reason to keep employing someone who (at the moment at least) looks nailed on to lead us to a second relegation. Yes, he's a nicer bloke and better manager than the jokers we've had in recent history but it's not about that, it's about if he's simply good enough to take us forwards. Based on our last 30 points return, how anyone can conclude that he is almost borders on delusional, or just blind faithful at least. I don't think you will find any of us that won't agree that he's a nice fella and has done a good job getting us promoted but football is about the nowand he's very much demonstrating that he's not up to the job, much like the favourites he's been picking week in week out for most of the season.

Chaddy, as you know, Ive defended him for long periods of the season but I simply can't do it anymore. You need only look at the evidence, 4 points in 30, shipping goals everywhere and to me he looks to have lost the dressing room. Every manager has a lifespan at a club and I think TM has had his unfortunately.

The mysterious case of Joe Rothwell.

Is it??? We're safe pretty much and have taken 4 points from 30 (I think). The sh*t heads he's playing at the moment aren't bringing in any points... In fact, I'd call it anything but a gamble. I'd call it necessary experience for him to be ready for next season. -

Pretty much this. -
Many teams have exceeded in this league without the financial might that other teams have... Due to exceptional management. Tony Mowbray is a nice fella but by no means is he an exceptional manager at this level. If you can't see the points return from the last available 30 points and know that there needs to be a change then its just blind loyalty, pure ignorance or both.

Surprised I still have hair left when it comes to this topic. What on earth does the lad have to do to get a run of games? Every time he's played he's arguably been MOM and yet the next game he's straight back on the bench. What does that do to the lad's morale? Especially having to sit there whilst Conway and Bennett comically run around the pitch, not effecting the game. Does it show poor man management skills from our manager? I think so. Why sign him if he's not going to play him? Why critisise him after clearly being our best player against Wednesday? Can he not see that he's clearly the player with the most ability at Rovers? I see it like this, he's put together such a poor defense that he's too sh*t scared of playing more attacking players because they will give his awful back 4 less protection. To sum up, it's a complete waste of talent, not on the players behalf but on the managers because he doesn't have the ability to address our defensive issues. Combine that with blind favouritism and you have a sh*t show of poor team selection, poor performances and poor results. In my opinion the lad is one of the best naturally gifted footballers I've seen at Rovers for some time, the sort of player you should probably build a midfield around. Just goes to show that throwing obscene amounts of money around on players to get quality is not always the way to do it. It helps though, when you realise that you have unearthed a real gem of player that you have manager capable of seeing that talent and getting the best out of him rather than being useless on the bench. I wanted to keep this post on the topic of the player rather than the manager but when he's playing such an integral role in ruining a player of this quality's career it's simply too hard to ignore. Do us all a favour and play the man for christ sake. Your long ball, tepid, methodless football does not work in this league anymore and it won't work next season. Play some players in midfield who we can actually play through rather than miss out. I really don't know how this one is going to turn out but at the moment it's the manager I'd rather see leave than a player like Joe Rothwell. What's your thoughts on this one? I'm frustrated, p*ssed off and mostly confused by the manager.

1-0 down already. Good play from them, piss poor from us. Giving us the run around in midfield already. Bennett looks like a little boy on the pitch, back 4 are soft as shite, full backs.. as they have been all season... Are far too narrow. Probably because the centre halves are so shit but it just allows too many crosses in. Been saying it all season, same old issues that the manager seemingly doesn't have the ability to correct.
