Fair point... Maybe I'm just not in the know of what type of player he is exactly. If he's got pace then he could be useful I suppose it's just as everyone else has said... We need goals aswell which looking at his recent record, doesn't look good.
-
How many shit non scoring forwards do Stoke want? Gally, Asante, Ennis... Fuck me, it's like they're doing it on purpose 😂
-
What's the point in Thomas Asante?? No resale value, Gueye is a better target man and possibly a better goal scorer. Just simply not what we need. I'd argue in Gueye we have physicality, in Ohashi we have graft what we don't have is PACE, someone who can run in behind and break lines. For me, the players we've been linked with that are the types we we need are Kargbo, Matondo & Godo. Direct wide players that can run in behind. That would help big Mac and give him some support, the reality is he's a link up player that will get more assists than goals, so let's make the most of that and get goals from out wide... We need to be looking for our poor man's versions of Mbuemo & Wissa... Not another big CF.

Why would he be cheap????
-
Nah but we all know he nowhere near as good a footballer.
-
Archie Grey going for double Adam's fee is a disgrace looking back.
-
Should sign Tamworth's left winger!
-
Wouldn't hold your breath, it's like he's allergic to the 18 yard box.
-
This. It's all about who else we sign, we are good defensively and in midfield, we just lack a bit of depth. Attacking, we don't have enough goal threat. Batth was a similar signing to Forshaw, recently left Norwich, same age, fans said legs had gone. Not saying this as some sort of Maggot apologist, just trying to look at it for what it is. If this is all we have at the end of the window then it will be one of the worst. Personally I'd like to see them go for one permanent attacking player and a young prem loan.

All I'll say on the Sanderson signing is... How many of us wrote off our club captain, who went out of favour and is probably our biggest miss at the moment... I certainly did. To sign an experienced championship player that our manager previously made captain I think is a fair signing tbh. That said, the attacking signings need to be more inspiring than Sanderson & Forshaw.

Don't think Sanderson on loan is that bad a signing to be honest. Was signed for 2 million from Wolves not long ago. Only just turned 25, should be coming into best years of his career and has plenty of champ experience... I think these should always have agreements to buy in case they turn out well. Not an inspiring one but an understandable one.

This just screams of another John Fleck type signing... Someone way past their prime, possible injury risk and stuck with their wages. Simply not what we need.
-
So he's signing tomorrow then. Got ya
-
Loan view to buy would be only deal that makes sense on Kitching IMO...

Sideways, sideways, backwards, give it away, sideways & repeated 20x

I'd love O'Brien still... Think he'd come if he spoke to the manager.

Initial cross came in from his side then played back across.

A whole generation of fans yet to see us beat them been let down. I like to think I'm pretty fair in giving criticism and credit where it's due. I've given the manager a lot of praise but that was passionless rubbish. He's talked and talked about filling up the stadium and being in it together, absolutely bottled it today. Way too deep, just played like any other game. Only player that comes out with any credit is Callum Brittain. Owen Beck letting crosses in the box in 2nd half of games is really crippling us, I like the lad but he's costing us points at the moment. Todd Cantwell is a disgrace. I'd love to see a heat map of him, he wanted play anywhere but the 18 yard box or anywhere near it... Where does he play? What is he good at? Highest paid player at the club and offer absolutely nothing. People give Dolan shit but he does far more than Cantwell on and off the ball. No way did he deserve to come off whilst he stayed on. I genuinely think he upsets the ethos of this team, which was built on being honest and hard working. He strolls around thinking he's god's gift but never creates anything. Starting to understand why many Rangers fans hated him. Primadonna, shite. Games like today were important to create belief that these players and this manager can do anything this season, in front of a full crowd. All they've done is created a feeling of no belief and turned off a full crowd of fans. A win today can change the mentality of the club and granted,.our owners will always hold us back it could been a very significant moment in our season. Really poor from everyone today.

Told he's starting.

This. Some very salty Leeds fans saying how negative we were... Everyone seems to have been poisoned by the Guardiola total football bollocks and can no longer appreciate a well drilled, hard working team who grinds out points. Working class folk from towns like ours should appreciate displays like we put in more than anyone. For a club like ours, the owners, the budget we have... You can shove your Daniel Farke's and your Russell Martins... I'd take big John Eustace every time. -

I personally love watching us play Jim. We should have buried Hull, we created enough chances to win 3 or 4 nil. I loved watching us defend to today and frustrating the life out of a bill big bollocks club like Leeds. I love the realism of this manager, knowing when and where we can play football and attack teams and where we need to frustrated teams and stay in games. Eustace is clearly a master of this league and exactly the sort of person I want in charge of Rovers. He knows we need more up front but he's getting the best out of what he has which is all we can expect. -

Really hope ACD gets a start today. Was electric the other week when he scored. Perfect game for him today. -

Fair, I guess stats can skewed in many ways to make certain points. I guess part of the point I'm making is as far goal involvements go, he's doing a better job than the likes of attacking midfielders like Hedges and Cantwell, granted he's a number 9 and I won't argue with anyone that his goals scored needs to improve.
