v Wolves (h) - 9/2/2025 - FAC4

Blimey Toth is awful. May as well have no one on the nets and stick another attacker on. We’re always weaker when Cantwell plays. Ribiero was crap for the second. ACD is so lightweight. Forshaw isn’t just slow he can barely pass the ball at times. He makes Buckley look good. Anyone remember when we beat Wolves away to stay in the PL in Venkys first disaster of a season? How we’ve fallen. “Walking in a Venky wankyland.” -
v Middlesbrough (a) - 11/1/2025, FA Cup R3

I've seen both Preston and Burnley fans saying most of our major trophies don't count because they were earned when football was a lower standard and was generally crap. Without realising that using that argument pretty much wipes out their entire trophy cabinets. Last time they won anything was Preston 1938, Burnley 1960 (and prior to that it was 1921) 🤷♂️ -
How awful was Hedges? If nothing else he usually works hard but even though everyone was pretty poor, he stood out as the absolute worst. Then just as you think a performance can't be any worse, Cantwell steps onto the pitch...
-
Cantwell is Buckley mark 2. And that's being kind.
-
Duberry misses the target then to make mattersworse Forshaw comes on, ffs.
-
Pears should have done better but the whole performance is dire. We're better without Cantwell. No strikers or pace upfront.
-
Fingers crossed he can do it in the Champ.
-
I'm amazed that this needs explaining.

Earlier in this thread someone said Suhail had convinced them not to spend.

Objectively Forshaw - couldn't get into Plymouth's team down the bottom of the league. Sanderson - couldn't get into Birmingham's team in L1. Woodrow - couldn't get into Luton's team, also down the bottom of the league. Dennis - hasn't played in 9 months. Ribiero - LB, six month contract. Kargbo - Serie B player for 6 months. Final thoughts (for JBiz who can't work it out for himself) Let's be positive and hope that Woodrow and Kargbo can surprise us, Dennis can get match fit quickly and score some goals and the backup players can provide better backup than Forshaw has done so far. Let's really hope that Tronstad and Ohashi can come back and Ohashi after a long rest can be as prolific as he was in the opening few games.

Those red dots mean they are shit.
-
That second line up is going to give me nightmares.
-
Woodrow has gone through according to the Twitterverse. It's just Dennis that we're waiting for confirmation on.
-
Two loans and Ribiero only till end of the season. So three short term players on top of the rest that could be disappearing.
-
Be interested to know how far Dennis is off being match fit.
-
Are they doing this so that the disappointment about not signing a 20 goal striker for actual money is offset because we'll be desperate for anyone.
-
Orders a curry.
-
It would not surprise me if they put Blackburn Ricers on the forms.
-
l've been sighing since 2010. Welcome to the club.
-
So does that mean our only deadline day signing is Yuri Ribeiro?
-
Imagine if Venkys weren't total dickheads. Armstrong would have been ideal.
-
Now that's a top signing.
-
He's probably the best finisher.
-
Ryan Giles doing us a favour.

Considering I wrote "youth player so gets an easy ride" in the post you quoted me in, I was expecting them to be kind about him until I spotted that Woodrot forum post about him.
