  1. We're about half Mowbray at the moment so hopefully we can last 5 minutes without conceding two or more goals.
  2. How did Van Hecke not score. Great run!
  3. Poveda is spectacularly bad.
  4. Pearler from Dolan.
  5. 8th defeat, that's nothing. Try being a Rovers fan. How many was it last year when we slumped to 15th?
  6. Shape of the team better but what a dull half. If I was to call it right now, 0-0.
  7. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
  8. He doesn't give a shit. He spends numerous days living on his own away from his family because he and his family are well rewarded. He comes across as somone who forgets his homework then scrambles about trying to get something together at the last minute, and continuously fails. After watching that interview it's clear he's just phoning it and hoping for the best now. I'd say he wants shut but doesn't want to give up the wages.
  9. This popped up on my timeline. Taken 10 years ago from the Riverside.
  10. Money talks, but the penny hasn't dropped with Venkys that they have to invest in buying a manager like they would a quality player. It all starts with the manager. Jack knew that.
  11. Oh dear... Did I just decipher that interview as, "Please sack me, I don't want to play this game any more and I want paying off?" Imagine owning a football club and being happy to allow that to manage the staff you pay handsomely every week. It's as if he completely begrudges having to put any effort in. I imagine he doesn't begrudge his massive wage packet though. There's no way that man has any ambition for the club at all, which would explain a lot. He could not give two f***s. He actually looks and sounds like a man doing community service and he can't wait to get home. Get out of the club you charlatan.
  12. What we need is the best man for the job whether he’s young, old or unemployed. Sadly venkys are still employing our managers in the same way they do their factories. They clearly don’t see the manager as important as it should be. If they understood football in any way they’d be spending a big fee on investing in the best option, not the easiest. All they need to do is have a look at Jack Walkers successes and failures. The training manual is there if they’d just show some interest.
  13. I’d still take any of those over Mowbray. Our three best managers of modern times have failed elsewhere. I think the important thing with the next appointment is not to employ a serial failure again.
  14. Pretty soon that’ll just be Burnley trolls. Oh I forgot it only takes a draw to get them clapping again. A win and promotion is back on.
  15. The only hope we have is if they are sticking with him purely because they don’t want to pay him compensation. And it would explain the lack of activity in the transfer window. The awful truth could be that they extend his contract.
  16. 239 comments on Facebook, all unhappy with the way things are going. Apart from one bloke called Jim who keeps trolling people asking who they think should manage - then abusing them when they mention some names. Sad really, he must really have the horn for Mowbray.
  17. Ours sounds like a pie but with less charisma, or intelligence.
  18. The problem was we lost. No point in going there to frustrate the other team if you can't defend properly for an entire match. He should know that by now.
  19. The ludicrous thing is that QPR aren’t great, their defence is shaky and they had injuries. 3 points would have put us in 6th. Only Mowbray would go there with the intention of parking the bus.
  20. Someone should tell him he’s been achieving it for about three years.
  21. He did well with little financial support at Preston. He always seemed to have them playing with sprit and belief. I’d prefer one of the others though.
  22. Going to QPR to nick a point. Says everything about him. Goes there to nick a point but puts no effort into a game plan to do it. Just goes with the formation that didn’t work last time. I’ve said it before, Mowbray is a lazy manager. He’s the equivalent of someone playing football manager and spamming the same tactics/formation win or lose. Then getting frustrated and doing something else till he hits some luck. Wins a few then gets injuries, forced to make changes then forgets how he got lucky. Spam again. Ad nauseum. I wouldn’t be surprised if little to no thought goes into it. The only time he could give a toss is if it affects him personally.
  23. I never thought I’d say this (I’ve always thought his teams have looked turgid) but Steve Bruce could be a good fit for Rovers right now. There are others. Wilder, Lampard, Bilic, Hughes, Neil.
  24. The really scary thing is that in Pune it’s just Wednesday.
