  1. I didn't get that. Lots of unnecessary passing plus a lack of penetration against a very poor looking Norwich who haven't got into gear yet. And I'm not surprised considering who he's expecting to provide the goals. I think Norwich being so poor have made it look better than it is. Maybe I've just become intolerant to the seemingly never ending passing forward then backwards and it's actually really good.
  2. Evans upfront second half?
  3. He didn't play him for a year because "he wasn't ready". He still isn't. Anyway my point wasn't to diss one of your favourite players, it was a point that his price tag keeps him in and with nothing to play for we should be trying out McBride considering he's scored a lot of goals. Or at least have him on the bench, he can't be any worse. The Ronaldo comment is daft. Expecting Brereton to be able to do a simple pass to a team mate isn't expecting "Ronaldo" levels of competence.
  4. Because he's taking the place of a competent player? He didn't buy himself, that wasn't the point. His price tag is the reason Mowbray puts him in and that's a problem when we have other options worth trying. Also what has he done so far that's been fine that warrants a starting spot? I trust you're watching this. Him being in a different position to the one he favours doesn't affect his ability to pass to a team mate, which he clearly struggles with.
  5. How has McBride been overlooked for Brereton? Oh yeah, about £7m quid. But why not have him on the bench seeing as we're struggling for forward players at the moment? Cut to Mowbray in the dugout trying to eat a plastic pie.
  6. Whatever he's been asked to do it means we don't have a striker on.
  7. For anyone not watching, Norwich are looking very poor. Our answer to that is to keep passing it backwards and forwards.
  8. Dolan on left, Buckley middle, Brereton on right.
  9. I've just seen the team sheet.
  10. I don't think they know what embarrassment is. They were the laughing stock of English football and I doubt it even crossed their mind. Quite why they want to own the club at all is one of life's mysteries. If it's Balaji's play thing, he seems completely indifferent to it. I'm not sure why he wouldn't want a winning team. I'm not sure why they pay a load of staff lots of money for so little return that they don't watch or gain anything from.
  11. He probably won't get ahead of Gallagher and Brereton as that would mean TM conceding that he'd made either a very costly mistake or a very very costly mistake. No idea who would take those two players right now should a new manager come in and want rid.
  12. Gallagher was a bad signing full stop, absolutely crazy. But he isn't going to be better played out wide. He's been playing Dolan and Elliott in the middle and Brereton and Gallagher wide. And the game where he played Armstrong out wide (when he was scoring goals) and Elliott in the middle. Just crazy decision making. Mowbray is like the Caligula of Championship football, horrific stuff and no one can make it stop.
  13. That's a very difficult question to answer as every player appears to have deteriorated as the season has progressed, whether they've been playing regularly or not. So none of them look top 6 at the moment. However if one player loses form, that's their problem. When it's all of them you have to look at the manager. A new (good) manager wouldn't change things overnight but it's too late for that anyway. They would probably get more out of what we've got, give the team some shape and in the Summer invest in the right areas. He hasn't built a good squad on the whole but there are some good players there. Even the not so good players would benefit from better organisation and some sort of sanity when it comes to picking where they are playing. You only have to look at Evans and Bennett still featuring from time to time to see what a lazy minded fellow Mowbray is. They should have been offloaded years ago. He kept Smallwood way past his sell by date, and there are many more. I think the problem with Mowbray is he gets complacent and starts believing his own hype, then he gets caught out and panics. Then we end up with some lazy and bizarre decision making as a result. I still say he hasn't known his best 11 since he was appointed.
  14. We have some good players for this league but thanks to the manager it's also a very unbalanced squad, and rudderless. I don't subscribe to the belief that Rovers are a 15th placed Championship team and should know their place. Under better management we'd be further up the table. With the right manager and a bit of investment, definitely promotion contenders. That is if you consider some of the teams currently in the mix, who to be honest aren't great but have better balanced squad and don't suffer from an imbalanced manager.
  15. If he'd signed him for £7m he'd feature in every match whether he was good, bad or on his arse for most of the time.
  16. “When do you put Gallagher on? Sam isn’t someone who historically hasn’t scored goals from crosses, it’s something we’re working every day on but we’re finding it more difficult to score goals with the group we’ve got.” It's a nonsensical sentence but from those words he's actually saying the opposite, that historically Gallagher has scored goals from crosses. Apart from that I have no idea what he's trying to say or do, or the point he's trying to make. The only two things that are crystal clear are that he's blaming the players and taking no responsibility for his part in putting the team together and organising them. The second thing is he's completely and utterly clueless. Someone should give him a nudge and tell him that his problems are all his doing. He didn't sign defenders, he signed two duds upfront for a lot of money, he constantly plays them out of position and constantly tries to stop the opposition playing to the point of stopping his own players playing. The problem is the manager.
  17. The usual suspects are blaming everything but Mowbray. The shocker is that they aren't spitting venom at people criticising Mowbray like they usually do.
  18. They've probably not started drinking yet.
  19. He'd never sign it, he's an honorable man.
  20. Another poor game. Mowbray, Penus and Maggot out.
  21. Tony Mowbray nose to proboscis with the fourth official.
  22. He's been there about 3 weeks. I know who I'd prefer.
  23. The problem with a possession based manager is that the players never f***ing shoot.
