It’s both. Under normal owners Mowbray would have been sacked after the Brereton signing when we needed defenders. But then normal owners wouldn’t have allowed him to do it.

Personally I think this season will be a disaster and Mowbray will be off within it. He’s clearly telling them all is fine, and when it isn’t they’ll be “confused” and bring in the next “yes boss” chancer. And the next one probably won’t even be capable of promotion from league 1. Maybe I’m naive but I think they will put transfer money into the club again, I just don’t think they’ll give Mowbray any after his string of big money flops.
