  1. Who is the leader on that pitch?
  2. More drama, bloody hell. Still doesn't know his best 11. Let's see you muck this one up Tony. Lose this and I think even the most blindly loyal functioning alcoholics on Facebook will turn.
  3. He didn't do a terrible job at Chelsea for a young manager. Massive job and high expectations but he did take them to the FA cup final and finish fourth in his first season. An experienced player who has worked with lots of different coaches you'd imagine some of it would have rubbed off. I can't help thinking a lower league club will benefit massively someday.
  4. He'll have noticed but after botching away £12m on two lesser forwards his pride won't allow him to even think of giving McBride ten minutes.
  5. Cheers, frustratingly he gave Coventry far more respect.
  6. I'd like the club to be ambitious and get a Lampard or a Benitez but I can't help thinking we need a manager who walks through Ewood, sees the pictures of Dalglish, Shearer, Sherwood, Souness, Andy Cole and Jack Walker and gets a chill down their spine that great things have happened here and the desire to experience that themselves. Listening to Mowbray you get the feeling he's doing us a favour. Same with Lambert if I'm honest.
  7. He's got a big steel barrier in front of him. #freetonymowbray.
  8. Football Jesus cocks it up again.
  9. “I understand Blackburn Rovers historically should be fighting in the Premier League, well, there’s a lot of teams who would say that. " I bet he didn't dare say that in his job interview.
  10. Any of the above a MASSIVE upgrade. Like going from a broken Atari 2600 to a brand new PS5.
  11. I remember there wasn't much love for him when it was announced. Plenty of good will and giving him support but with a general feeling of "why him?"
  12. Someone mentioned he was on the scrapheap when he arrived here and they weren't wrong so I doubt he'd give up a good thing, especially with no crowds or chairman on his back.
  13. "It's embarrassing to go 10 games without a win. I'm an honourable guy." Tony Mowbray resigns as Coventry (L1) manager - September 2016 About 4 months later he was Rovers manager.
  14. Be great if Souness could be convinced to return, if only to slap some sense into Venkys.
  15. Yes and defenders score goals occasionally but they aren't strikers.
  16. We know he's at a club higher than us in the table. I doubt he'd leave for basket case owners like ours. We'll end up getting another from the scrapheap.
  17. I used to think of him as the micro budget Sam Allardyce.
  18. It's comforting to know they represent the absolute cream of football tacticians. Take your pick guys, the future Blackburn Rovers manager.
  19. For me, that time we signed a 19 year old kid who had barely played for a stupid amount of money when we badly needed defenders. It was at that point the penny dropped that Mowbray had a screw loose. I've tried to give the fellow a chance but he makes some spectacular blunders.
  20. So basically, same advisors different name.
  21. Agree you can’t compare him to Kean and Coyle, especially Kean but... You were defending Coyle to the point of trolling when he was manager.
  22. It's just utter nonsense, if at any point Mowbray received a better offer he'd have been off like a shot. The most important thing is the club as Mowbray himself has stated.
  23. What's that got to do with now? Not just results, but his general attitude towards the team and the fans. The club comes first, not sentimentality.
  24. It's looking like we have a Coyle-like appointment right now with the increasingly bizarre tactics and press interviews.
