  1. Only delivery I want from Brittain is him sending elsewhere on a one way ticket. Awful defender. Doesn't block a single cross, head a single ball, close down a single player.
  2. Still need two fullbacks as well.
  3. Does JRC get an assist for their first goal. Wtf was he doing? And Brittain. What a waster that guy is. What's he supposed to be because he's not a full back.
  4. His youtube highlight reel was pretty poor so who the hell decided he was good enough?
  5. They sold our goalie, they sold our midfielder and they sold our goalscorer and not adequately replaced any of them.
  6. Defence is crap, as it has been for a long time. Attack is worse than last season. As expected before a ball was kicked, Hedges, Dolan, Gueye and Ohashi are very poor attacking options. Same points as last season at this stage. Disappointing but I expected it. Waggott and Venkys don't run the club to win, they just see what they can get away with year after year.
  7. Been saying that for a while.
  8. If we don't get anything on Saturday we'll be on the same points as last season after the same amount of games.
  9. Many of them said the same about Szmodics. Some were saying there was no chance.
  10. Dropped points, Chaddy winding folk up...
  11. Not quite sure why you’re pursuing him. He also said Gueye was good at holding the ball up which tells you how much of the match he actually watched.
  12. Gueye is looking every bit as bad as his highlight reel shows. Really poor today.
  13. Hedges, what a prick. Watford didn’t look like scoring and as bad as us in front of goal. Up pops hostage Hedges in the box with his hands in the air. 1-0 Watford. Lack of investment up front is coming back to bite us like a Steve Waggott January.
  14. Nope, but it isn't the end of the season. Being on the same points as fourth is commendable. But if we finished 6th, it's incredible.
  15. Joint fourth in the table after 11 games is commendable. Makes me wonder where we'd be if we hadn't sold the Champ top scorer, or at the very least replaced him. We have a tough couple of fixtures coming up, let's see where we are on Nov 2nd at 3pm.
  16. Not sure if it's religious fervour or the fact that he took us to our highest league position since relegation from the PL, and that was after the January sabotage. I can appreciate both managers, especially when both are saddled with incompetents. Two tough games coming up. If Eustace can better last years tally after the same amount of games it'll be some achievement.
  17. I did, at the exact moment it was brought up.
  18. I meant to put "have played two less games".
  19. 24th October 2023 we had exactly the same amount of points, but we've played two less games.
  20. Me too but we won't get it if we play like Saturday against a better team.
  21. I hope it's not a similar type of performance to the Swansea game. First home defeat if so.
  22. Where did I say I was unable to criticise him? I did on the match thread but I'm not going to lay the blame entirely at his door as he didn't decide to bring in one loanee and two old guys in defence, or cheap out on midfield/forward options with so much money in the bank. Every manager is going to make mistakes but with better players it impacts the side less. I said right at the beginning of the season that it's the same old shit in defence so we're going to concede a lot and without the Szmodic goals we will struggle. I was amazed that people were happy with Batth/McFadz/Hyam/Carter as our CB options after last year, and then Pickering and Brittain as our first choice full backs. At least Beck looks good for a season if he can stay fit and keep Pickering well away from first choice.
  23. I’m somewhere in the middle. I’m happy with the overall start to the season and find myself unable to blame Eustace for the previous two results, frustrating as his tactics have been. But I’m also worried about the manner in which the players have seemingly downed tools. It’s not been a lack of luck or injuries, they’ve been abysmal. And it’s happened far too many times over the years for me not to be troubled by it. We’re a running joke amongst other supporters that say we always have a good start then fall apart after Christmas, and it’s only October.
  24. A bit more perspective - we've got a bunch of fuckwits who own the club the club who made a ton of money and spent a pittance. My view is that we're lucky to be in the position we're in and no matter which manager ia in charge, his overlords would find a way to fuck it up. 14 years - only one constant. The manager hasn't even completed 8 months yet.
  25. We've pretty much performed the same in all five away games. A poor performance in the first half inviting pressure, second half improved. Try and snatch something. At least we're at home next.
