TOP team.
-
Paul Mani will be on to tell us that we played great and we're top 2 material.
-
This Rovers team feels like that season we first went down with the 27 different managers and the team didn't know whether they were coming or going. Except Tony Mowbray has been here what feels like forever.
-
Paper thin defence, strikers that can't score and a rubbish keeper. That's Rovers!
-
To be fair to Armstrong, the pressure is on him to deliver. Mowbray hasn't exactly given him any back up. Mowbrays answer to this will be to bring Buckley and Gallagher on. Maybe Dolan if he's not taken his pills.
-
Yet again making a piss poor side look capable. Second in the table but they haven't shown any quality and looked a bit nervy until the goal.
-
This is abysmal. We're relying on one bloke scoring, defence is a shambles, midfield crap again and goalkeeper looks like he's been told there's a sniper in the ground who doesn't like fruit based names.
-
Haha, I said he'd bring back Bennett as soon as he could and people took it as a joke. It wasn't. Text book Tony. And Evans as well, who has been nothing short of brilliant in recent games and well worth his place today. 4-0 to mighty Mogga's blue and white warriors.

Rovers vs Reading at Virtual Ewood

Formation aside, if he keeps signing and picking the same players that make the errors it's his fault. -

Lenihan needs dropping, but the buck stops with Mowbray. Sticking players on out of position like Gallagher, persisting with players like Evans season after season, and sticking Buckley in midfield wasn't the brightest of ideas was it. -

It's especially bizarre when we have Dolan and Gallagher has never played well there, or anywhere really. It's a strange tactic. We're getting beat, I'll put a struggling striker on the wing. Or is it more like, I spent 5 mil on this c*nt, so I better justify it by having him on the pitch in some capacity. -

This is what I was saying the other day. We may have signed new players but Evans, Bell, Bennett and Gallagher will always be around to select. And Mowbray will keep selecting them again and again and a-fecking-gain. -
Coventry v ROVERS

I was impressed with the way JRC links up with other players more than Nyambe, but Nyambe probably better when defending/under the kosh. Both still only young and learning. -

Wish we could have him back for the second half of the season. I also wish we could play Coventry every match. -

The manager picked Bell and Evans after watching them struggle through a game only a few days ago. Bell in particular was terrible tonight. So many people called it pre-match. Shame the manager didn't. -
Going off the first 6 games, same as last season I reckon. Lots of shit games, with a few decent games. The more vocal fans saying we're going to get into the plays offs but ending mid table. Then everyone saying oh well we'll do it next season we've got some really good players. Till the end of time.

If ever there was proof that ol' Tony was winging it a bit.

Did he explain why he played Bell, Johnson and Evans again after their godawful performance at the weekend? -

We watched the same match! Most definitely not a WOW match for me. -

It summed it up for me when we'd been on a bad run then suddenly pulled out a bunch of great performances. Journalist said to him, what have you changed to get that reaction? Mowbray said I'm as confused as you, I haven't changed anything. An honest but haphazard approach to football management. -

And still wasn't the best manager. In fairness Mowbray is a decent league 1 manager as any mistakes he made were more easily overlooked. It's a league full of mistakes and people giving it a go. Can't get away with it in the Chump.
