  1. It does all kind of blur into one horrible nightmare. We've gone from one of the best owners in football to a group of the worst. I saw Preston fans saying they couldn't understand us moaning because Venky's gave us 12m to spend on strikers. Mike Ashley has spent a lot more than £12m but I'm sure none of them would be happy to see him take over at nob end. Even when Rovers had no money it felt like a proper football club ran by people with enthusiasm and do the best for the club. Now it seems success is measured by whether the manager is able to buy mediocre young players and sell them on at a profit if they turn out to be any good. Winning football matches or promotion is secondary. The ghost of Kean/Anderson still hangs over the club like a pair of scooby doo villiain rejects.
  2. Lambert was appointed after Bowyer. Then quickly went from Lambert to Coyle.
  3. That's very unfair. He got them promotion from League 2 with nothing. He's now flying high in League 1 with the same budget. He can clearly get blood out of a stone and has some attacking nous despite what has been said on this thread. I agree that we need someone with more experience in this league but if Venky's were to appoint a budget manager, I'd like to give Ainsworth the opportunity rather than another also ran.
  4. In your case absolutely anyone with a BRFC trackie on.
  5. Let's face it, under Mowbray Rhodes would be on the bench and might get a spell in midfield for 20 mins if we're 2-0 down.
  6. Brilliant. I want him to go, but only to Benidorm for a couple of weeks.
  7. https://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php?/forums/topic/34048-are-rovers-being-sold/& https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/the-qataris-looking-for-an-english-lower-league-team.1476045/
  8. It was in the newspapers in the Summer that he wants to buy a lower league club to build it up, Rovers were mentioned. If I remember correctly Leeds knocked him back. I reckon whoever wrote this is just trawling through old articles and rehashing them for a few quid for a webmaster who can't be arsed to write his own rubbish and needs content to bump the site on Google.
  9. Daft argument from Waggott, we're 2-0 up at half time so he doesn't deserve the sack even though we conceded 3 goals after that? A big goal keeping error by a goalkeeper signed by the manager who doesn't deserve the sack? Part of managing is bringing in the right players Steve. That said, he's never going to disclose any intentions towards sacking Mowbray with fans. Only Shebby Singh would try that one.
  10. There's a face that would make an excellent dartboard.
  11. 16th in the Championship when Bowyer was sacked - 10th November. Bowyer also had the embargo to deal with. We're now 17th and it's 27th October.
  12. You do seem to be arguing over how many shades of shite there are here.
  13. Didn't he walk from Coventry after 10 without a win?
  14. For all my frustration with Bowyer, I didn't think he'd relegate us. I think if we stick with Mowbray that's the way we will go.
  15. His transfer dealings over the last couple of seasons were always going to lead to this. Too many gambles, not enough quality, no identifiable strategy at play. I can't understand how more people haven't been able to see this. Any team that doesn't strengthen, even the winning teams, end up only going one way.
  16. The reasons for sacking Mowbray are based on a lot more than half a game of football.
  17. What the hell was that about? Can someone check on TM to see if he's okay? If what he says at half time is anything like this then we know the root of problem.
  18. He's got to go.
  19. Shameful. Down to 17th, no wins in 6. 4 losses, two draws. His transfer dealings and tactics have been nothing short of amateur. Please do the honorable thing and resign Tony.
  20. The dick still thinks we can defend a lead.
