Ainsworth or Pearson for me. It'd be nice if Mowbray could turn it around but players playing out of position combined with him wasting money on strikers that can't score makes me wonder if he was ever in possession of a plot, never mind lost it.

And paid for himself.

Which day?

January transfer window 2020

He doesn't need a striker, he needs to buy three. Two for him to muck about with in the reserves/bench/out of position, scoring feck all and one to play every week and score 15-20 goals. -
We'd need automatic promotion under Mowbray as we can't string 2 wins together, we'd have no chance in the play offs. We won't get automatic promotion because we can't string 2 wins together.

21 shots, 6 on target. Similar to weekend. Stating the obvious but we need a striker.
-
I don't think that will be a question that crosses their minds. They'll just find another manager who will take the job, throw £10-20m at him over 3 or 4 seasons and hope he does better. And hope one of the young starlets nets big transfer money to make some back. That appears to be the business model in play here.

I have a feeling Mowbray will get sacked at the end of the season if he's not near the play-offs and I can't see him managing top half personally. They haven't a clue about football but they won't be happy about him wasting that amount of money not once, but twice.

I'm not disputing that he was crap but I don't remember him getting abuse from his own fans like Wilcox did. But then I don't remember Super Atko being so super like everyone else does. I remember people singing Super Atko in jest when he cocked up a pass or skied the ball, maybe it was just the people I stood near.

16 shots 2 on target, 1 goal to show for it.
-
This is why we needed a no nonsense striker instead of spending silly money on BB and Gallagher.
-
I don't remember Sherwood being pilloried, Wilcox on the other hand had half a season of real abuse. Then he became a different player overnight.
-
Phew....
-
Why bring back Evans???
-
Maybe I'm being greedy but it'd be nice if at some point Tony could get a striker in on the same level, someone who knows where the net is.
-
Love the optimism!

Yes!!!!

Doesn't sound like anyone's playing tonight pal. Let's hope they pick up.

Does it really matter? Mowbray's press conferences recently have been on the verge of Kean/Coyle. Combine that with the way the team are performing and at the moment there's not much difference between Mowbray and a Venky's special one. The real problem with Mowbray is he's had money to spend but spent it like a man who has missed his tablets.

Al pretenders to Big Sam's crown.
-
But then we'd get rid because apart from goals he wouldn't contribute much to the team.
-
Blimey it is bad.
-
I agree, you don't build a team with one senior player per window (or even zero players per window) and don't offload the deadwood.

Lots of wallpaper inspecting anticipated.

Try reading that again but imagine a particularly weasly Scottish accent, followed by some lip smacking.
