He just controlled the ball by skying it, it was like a clearance. -

They did look as tosh under Eustace but he had an ability to get them to grind results out. I've seen just as poor performances from this bunch under him where we've made it to half time lucky to be 0-0 then play better in the second half. They are an unambitious bunch and now the boss has gone some just cant be assed, some aren't good enough and some are well past their best. Travis is a different player and looks to have reverted back to his JDT and Mowbray days. Eustace is obviously a special manager as he's now done well at three clubs with piss poor players. -

There must be none league players who can do a better job than Woodrow and for less. Or just pick out anyone having a kickabout up Witton Park. -

Beck and Batth are the two massively missed players. The defence went to crap under Eustace when Beck was out earlier in the season. -

Along with probably 95% of the football league. It takes very little to better Venkys. -

Which is what Annie Desai ordered. Why someone with no background, knowledge or interest in football would start making demands on managers with "leased players" I don't know. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/we-want-good-football-blackburn-3345166 -

I fully expect more Woodrow and Forshaw type signings. -
Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas

I mean they bought the club with its own money, massively inflated the club debt, relegated twice, completely fucked up their Premier League campaign last season after spending a shit ton of money, spent a ton of money to be in automatics and reside in third place, and the owner hasn't the cash to bankroll the club himself but besides that, really really good. It highlights what a state football is in if that's what proper owners look like. -

And why would anyone chant Venkys/Waggott out when we're doing well. We have to enjoy it while it lasts, it's not often! -

Ferguson certainly spouted garbage after he'd played us. -

Seems a bit out of touch to me. "Venkys out. Where was that under Tony Mowbray, where was that under JDT, where was that under Eustace?" As far as I can see, it never went away did it? He also said he'd rather outscore the opposition and concede 3 goals but score 5. Eustace knew this squad couldn't outscore the opposition due to the lack of firepower so made sure we were tight at the back. We just don't have the forward players to annihilate teams so how would that work? The other lad was completely correct, them pumping £20m in is the bare minimum considering what they did to the club. They just came in and immediately tore anything good about the club apart and the fans have had to deal with their mistakes ever since. -

He inherited a team in terrible shape. Lots of injuries, Suhail being a whiny bitch and an awful January window. First game comes after a hopeless 3-0 loss to a poor team. It certainly wasn't the team that got us into the play off spots. -

If they carry on running the club in the manner they are then L1 is definitely inevitable. They've stripped almost every asset over the last two years and alienated two good managers who had the potential to get us promoted. -

Excellent choice, but will there ever be a chance of a Venkys Out avatar? Jack would approve. -

Barnsley were good under Ismael, can't take that away from him. I remember that season well and he looked like he was going to be a top manager. Could have fluked it, which is the worry. He looks to have done well at LASK. WBA sacked him in fifth place because they were chasing automatics at the time. Besiktas was a short term contract? I'm not sure what to make of his stint at Watford because they sack managers yearly, have high expectations and always fall short whoever is in charge. -

I don't know if you've been watching the games. I've seen every one. Carter has been awful - possibly not match fit. Hyam has been awful - he is obviously missing Batth, and it's not the first time he's been poor when he's lost his defensive partner. I'm not sure what Hyam is playing at, he seems a petulant character as seen by his elbow on the goalie against Norwich. Travis has obviously been affected by the changes, he's not been the same player - possibly wasn't fully fit, rushed back, and missed Tronstad when he returned. Now his head has dropped with the results. Tronstad wasn't fully fit when he returned, though he was better against Cardiff. At Stoke and Derby Pears was especially poor and back to gifting the opposition opportunities. I'm not sure what a manager can do about that. I'm not sure if Ismael is the right appointment, I defended Eustace last year even though I wasn't sure about him for similar reasons. The general state of the club is so muddy at the moment there's no way of knowing if it's his influence, the players or just that he's come in at a bad time. I've seen it so many times before under previous managers. -

It is a further decline, it's the worst mini run of the season of which he's overseen four games, but the squad has been in poor shape. It may get better now that Travis and Tronstad are back but we're now struggling in defence. Thanks to Sufail and Maggott we also have a new manager who is just getting to know the squads failings. I'm not convinced by Ismael but looking at the bigger picture he's been dealt a bad hand and he came in off the back off an awful 3-0 defeat to Swansea which was one of the worst performances of the season. Eustace left for an awful team like Derby to avoid exactly this, that says a lot. -

I don't know if it's defending him, and as someone else has said he is an uninspiring appointment. It's just far too easy to blame him when there are other factors at play. We're without key defenders and our top scorer. We have several players coming back from injury who won't be fully match fit. We're without the manager that led them to sixth in shambolic circumstances. We didn't strengthen in January. If anything we're weaker. A lot of Rovers fans expected this to happen with Eustace. Sure we won three in five but the Swansea game where we lost 3-0 before he took over was fucking diabolical. The matches under Ismael have been a continuation of the players being piss poor. I'm not sure which manager could deal with that turmoil. There are other people at the club who are responsible for us dropping out of the play offs and it's important to direct our anger at the right people. -

Looking at our form since Dec 21st, our form under Eustace was better but it's not exactly glowing is it. Prior to our 6 game unbeaten run. We had a decent start, then it went to pot a bit, then a six game unbeaten run and then since the injuries and lack of investment, in my opinion we've been shit. -

"Rushed back", if we're being honest about it. You can look at any match thread, even the ones where we won, to see how much we declined since December. Against Cardiff he rightly dropped Cantwell and Forshaw and our general play was much better but the injury of Dennis and introduction of Duberry swung it in Cardiff's favour. Their winning goal came from them hitting us on the break when ACD lost the ball cheaply. The players have got to take a lot of blame as for example the defending for Cardiff's first goal was awful. Just a free header when there were players there to challenge. What was Carter doing? We're missing Batth and Beck. Under Eustace we went shaky defensively when Beck was out. Edit: The more I see that second goal the more it infuriates me. ACD loses it then has the opportunity to try and get it back and at no point puts in a challenge or makes it difficult for the player with the ball. He couldn't give less of a f***. -

Performances really seemed to drop away to Millwall on 21st December when Travis and Pickering got injured. I've watched every match since and even in the ones we've won we've had a really shitty first half or second half. That match stood out to me and we've never really improved much. Any CEO who gave a damn would have raised concerns to the owners then, and strengthened accordingly. Waggott probably didn't even know there was any decline. Without Batth and Beck in defence we're now even worse. It's pretty much the same defence that almost got us relegated last season. And our forward line options which haven't been great all season, haven't been bolstered at all now that Dennis and Kargbo are out. We're left with Cauley Woodrow as our "super sub" who hasn't scored goals regularly for years. To make matters worse Ismael obviously isn't the kind of manager to grind out results, which Eustace was good at. -

A perfect summary of an awful result. If that's true about Lowe, what a fucking idiot. ACD coming on changed the game and it wasn't just because Dennis was playing well at the time. Defensively we went to pot because he kept losing it when we had players committed forward, allowing Cardiff to break. And he made no attempt to defend without the ball. Any child out of the crowd could have put in that performance. -
I went through the mourning period in January. I expected it to fall apart when they clearly weren't supporting the manager. I did make the silly mistake of believing they may support Eustace if he excelled and there was a chance of promotion. But it's now obvious that the previous two Jan transfer windows with the O'Brien and McGuire fiasco's were by design. It renders the club pointless and the only chance of resurrection is if Venkys leave. For the record I don't blame Ismael, just like I didn't blame JDT when it fell apart, and didn't blame Eustace when he first came in and there was no bounce. It's the owners and their parasites who are to blame.
