  1. Add to that Stansfield as the marquee signing using the SS money. I know, I know...
  2. Cantwell has an ego but if Eustace could manage it, he'd be good in the Championship and bring some arrogance to the team.
  3. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/scott-parker-may-be-regretting-burnley-decision-amid-mass-transfer-exodus/
  4. He changed the shape of the team too. They weren't in it till Bowyer made his changes.
  5. Different team now. I still don't expect some of ours to turn up though.
  6. His initial post came across more like... More than trying to lull anyone, to be fair.
  7. I remember it well 🙂 The atmosphere was equal only to our grudge matches with Man Utd in the mid 90s. I was sat in the middle of the Riverside for that one, and blimey it was loud.
  8. Would like to see Yuki and Big Mak start and bully them all game. Be nice if we could bring in a keeper and a winger in time for the game.
  9. For good reason. When we were Champions of England you were getting relegated from the second tier. Probably a good thing for you we didn't considering what we did to PNE post-Shearer.
  10. It’s certainly a problem for them when key players like Benson, Zaroury, Vitinho and Brownhill are leaving. It’s the Venkys strategy of sell big, buy cheap and the rest of the cash disappears. But Burnley appear to be doing it all at once.
  11. Looks like they are selling another four this week.
  12. To add an extra plot twist. Luton had/have three defenders out. But I really hope you put your house on a Burnley win. Do it for Rovers Merce!
  13. Sounds like they borrowed much more than they should have to fund Kompany's project and now they need to raise £100m in sales to pay it off. Also some players want to leave now Kompany has gone and replacing them isn't easy when you can't spend much (as every Rovers fan will know). It's either shocking ownership and the beginning of some real turmoil or an over-reaction from Burnley fans expecting to walk the league. I wonder if Pace will be sat there holding hands with his daughter and wife on Saturday as he did two years ago.
  14. Dolan's decision making frustrates but he's still a young lad with time to sort that out.
  15. I read somewhere that they had three first team defenders injured since the season started.
  16. To be fair, we've got better subs. For example instead of Geuye we had Gallagher. Swapping those two is turning into one of the best decisions in a long time.
  17. One of those happy days in football, enjoy it while it lasts folks! Gueye really does fire up our forward line when he's on doesn't he. Takes the pressure off.
  18. How dare you talk about Jim like that!
  19. Too many false dawns. People are rightly frustrated, especially when we're selling our best and not using some of the money to replace them four games in.
  20. As others have said we lack creativity and pace going forward. And it's so frustrating to watch us take one or more touches at times to take the edge away from an attacking move. Dolan hasn't done enough. No one was saving that goal, it's a goal of the season candidate. Yuki did well to get the ball back in the box for the equaliser from JRC, who up to that point I thought hadn't contributed enough. We really need a spark up front, we're missing Sammie. If there is any possible chance of spend money on Stansfield and a winger, we should do it.
  21. By his own admission he doesn't know much about some things that others are negative about. So maybe that annoyed some if he's preaching positivity when we're still waiting for a number 1 goalie after an entire year has passed. He's entitled to his views though.
  22. We'll score goals but thanks to our defence and keeper we'll always concede them. So who the hell knows what will happen, we could lose 5-4 or win 3-2.
